Not really. We lost cause of an economy that sucked to high heaven and the public will always blame the party in power.
McC allowed this to happen and could not comprehend (and/or did not particularly care) his associations were a huge turnoff to the crucial conservative base.
Conservatives were incensed that McCain allowed himself to be duped by conservative-hating pukeneos and RINOS (making the same mistakes as Bush).
MOST NAUSEATING ELECTION NIGHT SCENE Smirking little puke-jerk---Fox pundit Billy Kristol---putting on his old reliable "I Know Nothing About This Republican Disaster" act.
AS FREEPER TADSLOS COGENTLY POSTED: "People forget that candy-ass Kristol, and his crony, metro-sexual Brooks are the original makeover artists for McCain post-2000. They are McC's original groomers and media switch operators. For Kristol to be urging McCain (to fire his staff) to start all over at the 11th hour belies how ill conceived, advised, equipped and poorly managed McC's campaign continued to be. But then, I expect as much from a Republican candidate made up from Kristols and Brooks bolt of whole cloth."
Kristol and Brooks cockamamie idea---that they forced onto the body politic---was that McCain would promote their idea of national greatness, as opposed to what they regard as the "standpatness of conservative Republicans." (Another kick to the curb for conservatives from this puke coterie.)
The sight of pukeneo stooges and gay/abortion worshippers---Lieberman and RINO Rooty Ghouliani---sucking up to McC was nauseating. The idea that these suckers would be active and visible in our government for another 4-8 years could not be tolerated.
It was all about pie. The majority of voters thought Obama would give them a bigger piece of the pie or at least keep their current piece from shrinking. The majority felt that it was unfair that a small number of folks should get huge pieces and others only a sliver. Pie pieces should be equal for all.
McCain looked on the economy as corn, not as pie. He would increase the future harvest for all by dedicating a larger amount of the silo to use as seed corn. In the future, everyone could have larger portions as the total amount of corn would increase. To do this would require sacrifice, as portions left over from seed would not increase. People would have to make do with what they had until the next harvest. This might require a bit of dieting and borrowing from a neighbor. The majority could not grasp this concept. It was not explained well to them.
The majority voted for promises of “more pie now,” even at the expense of eating their seed corn.
Hindsight should be a tool to gain some insight into debacles. I think we just had one. I don't want to seem to be anything. I want to BE myself.
When Mac said he was reading Greenspan's book to bone up, we knew we were in trouble.
Here is mine.
1) Everybody hated Hillary.
2) Democrats voted for McCain in the primaries.
3) Radical Leftys voted for Hussein in the primaries.
4) McCain had no real connection with true conservative voters.
5) There was little 527 support for McCain such as Bush had in 2004.
6) $$$$$$$$$$$$.
7) MSM totally in the tank for Hussein.
8) McCain sucked as a candidate.
In the end Sarah Palin made the election closer than it might have been. Palin was a terrific candidate.
We had a LOSER candidate who was really a democRAT. He wouldn't name names on the Fanny May mess, or hammer Obama about infanticide. He wouldn't hammer Obama about his voting for sex ed for kindergartners or a plethora of other things he should have been hammered on. McCain had a target rich environment, but failed to take advantage of it.
How many "Christian" folks voted for Obama because they were totally stupid and ignorant of his stand on abortion/late term abortion and his voting record of allowing abortion survivors to slowly die?
Maybe if RINO McCain would have hammered him on that, they'd have not been ignorant of it.
RINO McCain performed almost exactly like those of us who were unhappy with him being chosen as our candidate were afraid he'd do. He's a rat butt kissing LOSER!
His early concession speech proved that - just what exactly are the 50 million of us who voted against Obama supposed to unify with the rats on? Abortion, Taxes, Surrender in Iraq? More welfare? Bigger government?
