Exactly what I was wondering. It “might be” required? And how about proof of his being a US citizen after having had Kenyan citizenship? I do not believe this issue will ever be resolved with actual documents coming to light.

The burden of proof in this case rests with Obama. If you want to be president you have to prove your eligibility. You don't make the nation play some silly cat and mouse game.

It would be the simplest thing in the world for him to produce his actual birth certificate with the real data and make us all look like fools. He doesn't so reasonable minds can only conclude that he is hiding something. It's either his nation of origin or his father's name. There are no other logical items. So which is it? He's not a “natural born citizen” and, therefore ineligible to serve as president OR he's not African and the whole African thing is a lie. Which one?

And... let's say he IS a “natural born citizen and his natural father IS Obama, Sr. then, by not putting this issue to rest before Inauguration Day, he demonstrates he's just an *sshole!
