I know...I may survive anything but Disco.
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
I never doubted he would win, although in 1988, I was puzzled why he wasn’t running again. I didn’t get the whole term limits thing...and then 2000 came around and I thanked my lucky stars for the foresight of those in our country after FDR.
This is too weird. I have been told i act old also. Me and you are so alike. LOL.
*L* It’s not that we are old, it’s that we are wiser and more mature! We appreciate the finer things in life.
Mark is the expert on the constitution, he is not a member of your party. He supports Republicans.
that should give you a clue what is correct.
You forgot the unmistakable smell of a BIG FATTIE eminating from the executive suite.
I was the only 14 year old crying after 41 lost.
I have a clue what is correct, thank you very much.
I too supported the repubs again this year.
A teacher of mine always reminds me every time he sees me of my comments when asked the next day...He asked the class our opinion of the election, and called on me, knowing I would be dissatisfied.
I remarked, “I guess we better change our national anthem to I Feel Like Chicken Tonight.” (Of course I wore my “Rush Limbaugh for President” tee shirt in protest to school that day too.) *L* I am such a nerd!
Agree that time s a consideration with Obama. But just like drilling for oil, the more time goes by doing nothing, the harder it is to do something.
I live in NJ, 10 miles from NYC, and the WTC. I know what living in the real world is, and I’m thinking that the real world is not the coasts. But then again, judging from last night, I’m not so sure about that either.
I’m just trying to figure out whether it’s gonna change with the GOP. And when.
I changed my registration from Republican to Independent here after it was clear McCain would be the nominee. May switch back in 2012 if Sarah is in the running and needs support in KY (nominations are usually over by the time of our May primary); but they are going to have to seriously woo me to get me back otherwise.
I’m with ya on that.
The republican party has to do a hard right to get me back in.
Are you in Hudson Co.
My grandmother was from Hoboken.
My NY City roots go back to 1624
I’ll support conservative Republican candidates, but I think it is obvious we loose when the mealy mouth spineless coward moderates control the party. Hell our own party savaged Gov. Palin just as bad, if not worse, than the enemy. It wasn’t the enemy leaking that she “was a diva”.
The country club blue bloods wanted to be sure that we conservatives knew we weren’t welcome...our votes and money are welcome, but our ideas are not! Well, they can go woo all the leftover Rockefeller Republicans for their money, because from now on I donate only to candidates directly.
Amen
Born in HoBo. St. Mary’s.
My family moved to Bergen Co in the late 60’s. Been here ever since. Now my two oldest are back in Hoboken. Life’s a circle.
BTW, they are now understanding what it’s like living with libs in their faces!
Born in 1966. Turned 18 in May ‘84. Gladly voted for Reagan in Nov. To me he is the standardbearer to what conservatism should AND must be.
2 weeks later, I lost my mom and that’s when I started following all things political, even though I didn’t major in it in college.
42 now and sometimes feeling 52, especially after last night. But we will get through this to be sure!!

Yes. It is.
Well it all began earlier this year when while in Ohio during the primaries at a McCain rally, Bill Cuningham mention the middle name “Hussein” to the full name of Barak Hussein Obama and the Obama campain people went “nuts”. McCain had to do some diplomacy. Needless to say the Obama side had a a lot of “thin skins”.
