I love your approach. Do what you can to take a stand in your own way. Draw a line in the sand. If we don’t stand for something we stand for nothing. God bless America.

Thanks for the post. I love your idea. I plan to do the same thing starting today. I also plan to tell everyone why I am “firing” them.

Yours is a principled stand. Bless you for it. If only principles mattered to a lot of RINOs, but since they don’t we’ll just have to take matters into our own hands, block by block, store by store, business by business.

It may take a long time, but God-willing, I’m not planning on going anywhere, so let’s
venture on a 20 year trek to make the world a better place for our grandchildren.

You are awesome - this is the spirit of strength and courage. I will accept this challeng and do the same thing. WE MUST vote with our money - make a change in your life - cancel the paper, no longer shop at a local retailer and let them know why. THIS WORKS!

You’ve identified a possible service for FReepers...a directory of businesses, here, where people like us (small business owners) can interact and keep the business where it can do the most good—for us and what we believe. I’d darn sure rather send $$ to a coffee roaster I find here...than the effete Starbucks...our “friends” on the left network...why not us?

Good post with good ideas. Thankfully, my sprinkler guy is a good conservative, because I have no idea how to blow out the system.

I'm there. I saw an Obama button on a salesperson in a fabric shop, where I will NOT purchase another dollar's worth of goods. I will buy it for more on the internet rather than use their shop.

I have supported an independent book store---no more of that for that Obama voter---nor for the gay antiques dealer in her basement store. Might have to drop all the Mexican restaurants, too, but some of these places are going to go out of business just because of the current bad business cycle. Just read that Whole Foods (an Obama-loving hotspot) is on the verge of going out of business.

Please keep this thread going and if there are national chains or certain products that are known Obama-supporting operations--post them here for others to boycott.

Nothing like spreading the "wealth" and "misery" around...

Today My husband and I are going through the names of companies/people who had out the Omama signs etc.
I am calling on them to let them know I no longer want their business.
I also re-read the boycott thread and wrote down the companies who donated to Obama.
I canceled all magazines and newspapers today as well at Netflix.

Oh, climb down off the cross! My mom told me this morning that O wasn’t her president. America will be here four years from now. We’ll either be a little better off or a little worse off off for the wear and tear. Go eat some dang tacos and hot tamales and quit being a sore loser.

parsy, who don’t think O is going to be a bad president at all.

I think you’re doing great things. If we did it en masse we would have something. I own a salon and I don’t bring up politics unless they are brought up first. Most of our clients are conservative and I’ve turned many on to FR.

Bless You, Honey!

It’s amazing, huh, how the pioneers did it all on their lonesome too.

If more people did for themselves, the gubamint wouldn’t have to take so much from the rest of us to do for those who are unwilling to take care of business they could easily handle.

Prayers for the 3rd term of a Clinton administration and the nation’s survival.

At least it sure looks like a Clinton won again..

His appointments will reveal how much has not changed in the demoncRat party or its agenda..

Change? (guffaw)

I'm with you too!

Today we received our monthly coupons from the local Indian casino offering us discounts on rooms and shows. We are not big gamblers . . . but around small town Midwest America there is not too much going on so when they book some small time acts we try to go to the shows just for our entertainment. I think we might spend about $2000 a year. That sounds like a lot but my wife and I (empty nesters both working 40 to 60 hours a week) don't do anything else for entertainment - we never go to the bars and very rarely eat out.

From reading the papers we know the local tribes are 100% for Obama. So after some discussion, my wife and I took the Indian casino discounts, put them in an envelope, and returned them to the Casino explaining that we could not justify spending any more of our hard earned money on a business that supports someone who wants to "spread our wealth" to others who didn't work for it. And along with their coupons and our note we included the itinerary for our week long trip to Cozumel that we just booked for February this year instead of visiting their casino 5 or 6 times.

After all, don't the poor Mexicans deserve our wealth more than the Indian casinos? Sounds fair to me.

When I read this, it made me think of some important Scripture that I read last night:

Matthew 7 1-5
‘Do not judge, so that you may not be judged. For with the judgement you make you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. Why do you see the speck in your neighbour’s eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? Or how can you say to your neighbour, “Let me take the speck out of your eye”, while the log is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbour’s eye.

7:12: ‘In everything do to others as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets.

Also, look at the Lord’s Prayer:

And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors. (Mt 6:12)

Often we just say that without thinking about its implication. That’s saying that we’re asking God to forgive us as much as we forgive those who have made us angry? It’s conditional, you know? Forgive US in the same way we forgive those people we disagree with, who have sinned against us. If we don’t forgive them, then how can God forgive us any less? That’s tough. But that is what scripture tells us we have to do. That’s Jesus there, the Word of God, having been with God for all time, our one Messiah and savior telling us to forgive and not judge anyone.

But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Praise God and may God continue to bless the United States.

Good for you Glacier Honey... I have an appointment with my financial adviser to “Obama Proof” my portfolio and am determined to not pay a cent more than I have to legally in taxes to pay for his Socialist Agenda. My intention is to cut my taxable income TO THE BONE even if it means cutting back on work, again all legally. I will cash in my 401K and pay the onerous tax so as to protect it from confiscation. Just doing my part.
