Despite near total control over government IMHO our political opponents seem most addicted to conservative bashing. Any bets on how long before they forget all about their Messiah and suffer a relapse into derangement?
Regarding Obama's supposed control over the executive branch:
To ... new political executives, the possibilities of power may seem endless. They soon learn, though, that senior civil servants know more, have been there longer, and will outlast them. One newly appointed political executive told of his experience: I spent the first days up with [the secretary], and it was marvelous all the plans we were making - the executive suites, limosines, and all that. Then I went down to the catacombs and there were all these gray men, you know - GS 15s, 16s, and I understood what they were saying to me. "Here we are. You may try to run us around. You may even run over us and pick a few of us off, but we'll stay and you won't. Now what's in it for us, sonny boy?"
Team Sarah's take on Election 2008 "With the entire federal government under the control of one political party that is hostile to our values, clearly the women of Team Sarah face an intense battle on many fronts. If Governor Sarah Palin's historic candidacy proved anything, it is that women can meet these challenges without sacrificing their femininity. And thanks to Gov, Palin's leadership, there are more women in this battle than ever before. The very women whom the women's movement had convinced were invisible now know their power."

Dow -200 points at 12:00. I wonder how far it will fall before the close.
I had pretty much resigned myself to this outcome last week. McCain just never seemed to actually want to win. Too many punches pulled, too many opportunities to make clear the differences missed. It was like 1996 all over again.
I hope that before 2012 the state GOP organizations can get their primary rules fixed so we don't have our candidate selection so badly manipulated.

Wonder if he will repeat his famous...after the '06 election debacle...
..."not going the carry the water any longer for these..."
It's just as applicable today as it was then...if not more so.

Actually, this election is a bugle call; we know what we face and know what it can do to us if it succeeds.
There are millions of people who did NOT want a socialist as our president!!!
May I propose a new logo for our cause?
Obama's logo was missing the stars that signified State powers. The stars alone should be our logo. Power to the States!

Did you notice how CNN is spinning the market losses today? It's not because of fear over Obama's economic policies; oh, no--it's:
Stocks slumped near midday Wednesday as the forward-looking market moved beyond Barack Obama's historic victory to the weak economy he inherits.

I'm more discusted and angry than depressed.
Wow...hearing on the news that Kenya is going wild and declaring a national holiday. So...are they sending back all the money Bush sent them or what?

Personally, I hope Rush comes out swinging. We can now all say the things we couldn’t about McCain during the campaign. He was an unmitigated disaster for our party...just like the media that elected him knew he would be. The ONLY reason that the voter turn-out on our side was as high as it was, waas because of Sarah Palin.
Jindal/Pence 2012..or Pence/Jindal 2012. It is time to get back to basics.

I think what you see in this election is what many of us have long known and feared. The NEA (a wholly owned subsidiary of the DNC)has dumbed the masses down and the nation has a majority of complete dysfunctional idiots. Welcome to the Un-united Socialist States of Amerika.
