Just heard on the radio that Goode is ahead by 446 votes according to state board of elections. 100% of precincts reporting....
That is a big relief. Prayers up for the recount.
I can’t believe he was in any trouble. What in the world happened there?
If anything, I’d have expected Frank Wolf to be an upset possibility.
Thank God & thanks for all your hard work during the campaign!
Day 1 of the resistance begins.
Whew! Let’s hope it holds up...you know the libs in the Soviet Socialist Republic of Albemarle County are foaming at the mouth right now.

Yes. We were phoning voters in his district.
Wow. God be thanked for that. I’m still stunned Thelma Drake was beaten in VA Beach.
Great news. Some of my co-workers were celebrating a Perriello victory earlier this morning.
“I cant believe he was in any trouble. What in the world happened there?”
His opponent spent tons of money, helped by the national party. But Goode also ran one of the most disgusting and dishonest commercials of the election season. I suspect Goode lost quite a few votes on that commercial alone
Hallelujah.
Yes, there is a God!
Interesting that we allowed two Democrats to run unopposed.
Here’s the explanation for what happened. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are some people qustioning this.
“Tom Perriello went to sleep last night ahead of U.S. Rep. Virgil Goode, R-Rocky Mount, by less than 1,000 votes. He woke up this morning trailing behind the six-term incumbent by about 300 votes.
According the state board of elections Web site, the computer system used to tabulate the votes “went down at midnight and changed totals” in eight precincts in Danville.
The difference between the original and changed totals vary, with some differing by around 400 votes.
The state board of elections could not be reached for comment this morning.
The problem was reported by Danville Registrar Peggy Petty, who also could not be reached for comment this morning.”
“Interesting that we allowed two Democrats to run unopposed.”
We couldn’t have come up with anybody who would have had a prayer against Boucher.
It's a mighty rough road from Lynchburg to Danville ;-)
