It is evident that we the GOP turned our backs on President Bush.

New Tone Bush?

After he publically threw Ashcroft under the bus for bringing up the Gorelick wall memo during the 911 Commission hearings...that Bush?

Bush who pushed amnesty for illegals in 2002, again in 2006, and twice in 2007. That Bush?

Bush who tried to slip Harriet Miers on to the Supreme Court. That Bush?

Bush turned away from his conservative base. He abandoned them long before they gave up on him.

The conservative base came out and voted in this election. We lost. We lost big time. Bush helped to give us Barak Obama.

Amnesty caused us to lose New Mexico. The majority of American's seem to have thrown that issue under the bus. That was not an issue at all in this election other than the fact that Latinos broke for Obama.

I've been sounding the alarms... We decided to jump on the hate Hispanics bandwagon ... and in reality we let the usual uneducated blacks off the hook, and they broke for their race big time. Instead of pointing out the usual problems within the black community, we switched to bash hispanics mode (which is how the majority of the public took that) The white race is losing it's majority status more and more every year, and this race definitely reflects that.

Independents broke for Obama in just enough of an amount that it creamed McCain. The same independents some perfect conservatives complain about and say we don't need.

This should be a lessen, it is hard to win over democrats. More emphasis needs to be placed on continuing to secure the base, and securing EVERY SINGLE independent vote. Blue collar dem's decided a socialist was their man, no point in trying to court them.

It seems Republicans and Conservatives are out of touch ... the stupid American Public decided they wanted even more handouts and even bigger government.
