Rick Sanchez Gets Dirty With Joe the Plumber
NewsBusters ^ | November 5, 2008 | P.J. Gladnick

Posted on 11/05/2008 6:33:49 AM PST by PJ-Comix

Sheesh! Talking about rolling around in the dirt! CNN's Rick Sanchez was arguing taxes with Joe the Plumber (Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher) yesterday and somehow couldn't figure out the concept of "principles." Ironically, Sanchez then showed just how unprincipled he is by rolling around in the mud and digging up recycled "dirt" on Joe. Here is the transcript of the video so you can see for yourself just how low Sanchez went in an attempt to smear Joe the Plumber (emphasis mine):

RICK SANCHEZ: Probably nobody in this campaign has been referred to more by his acronym or slash name than "Joe the Plumber." His real name is Joe Wurzelbacher. And he's good enough to join us now to bring us up to date on what's going on with them -- Joe, are you there?

JOE WURZELBACHER, "JOE THE PLUMBER": Oh, hey, I'm doing good. How about yourself today?

SANCHEZ: Good. Good.

Man, we -- I've got to tell you, just to be completely open about this, so many people have been writing to me today saying why are you talking to this guy, why are you talking to this guy?

So here's your chance to answer a lot of the questions that I've been getting from a lot of them. And I'll start with just probably the most curious question that a lot of people have.

Why would you be so upset about people who clear more than $250,000 a year having to pay taxes when you're nowhere near that category? Is that a fair question? Can you give me answer?

The first thing Freepers should do is boycott all the TV outlets that supported Obama, and all their sponsors. Also all the newspapers that endorsed Obama, and all their advertisers. The only thing they listen to is money.

The media and Obama are going to make Joe the Plumber into a force to reckon with the way they carry on with him. Hopefully he runs for something, he will clean up the cesspool of Ohio which showed its ugly face

And you're not going to understand it. Again, it's called principles. Look it up and then you'll figure it out, man.

There it is. In a nutshell. RATS simply don't understand principles.

No, the first thing that needs to happen is that our people need to stop going on shows with these vipers. What’s wrong with us? There are lots of other, more friendly venues out there!

On Monday while watching FOX, I had to ask Mr. J if McCain was even running to which he replied it didn't appear so.

We turned our tv off at 10 last night and it hasn’t been back on. We don’t take any newspaper either.

Dec. 10, 1990. Mr. Sanchez, seriously drunk behind the wheel was leaving a Miami Dolphins game. He had barely left the stadium parking area before he hit a man who was running between cars, and who was also drunk.

Sanchez was not charged with causing the accident, but was later charged with (and pleaded no contest to) DUI.

But here’s the cowardly part:
Sanchez initially left the scene of the accident for 2 full hours. One local report said he first went home to get his license and fell asleep. (Yeah, right.) Anyway, by the time he meandered back to the scene and his dilly-dallying cop friends tested him for alcohol, it was at least four hours after the accident. Even with all his friends
helping him, Sanchez’s blood still registered .15 — way above the then-legal-limit of .10.

Closing chapter for victim: The Miami Herald, Nov. 2, 1995 “Jeffrey Smuzinick, who was left paralyzed after being struck by the car of Channel 7 anchor Rick Sanchez, died Monday in a Pennsylvania nursing home. He was 36. Smuzinick was injured Dec. 10, 1990, after he ran out into traffic following a Dolphins football game. He was struck by
A 1991 Volvo driven by Sanchez. Smuzinick suffered severe head injuries and was in a coma for many months. He underwent rehabilitation in Florida ...”

So, this A1-Miami-Coward is allowed to smear Joe on international television?

Time for Tito the Builder to pay Rick Sanchez a building inspection.

I didn’t know this. Somehow it figures.

If I were Joe, I would be looking to hire body guards.

What an absolute moron Rick Sanchez is. At one point he whines that people making 250K “aren’t paying their fair share like they were, perhaps, in the 1960s and that it’s imbalanced.”
Then in his very next sentence, he calls a flat tax a “remarkable idea.”
Earth to Rick Sanchez: if a flat tax were instituted, the “rich” making 250K would pay LESS than they’re paying now.
What an IDIOT.

Sanchez went after him like the Nazi he (and most of the media) are. I don’t know if we can recover from having a fascist media. Unless it just goes out of business now. I guess they can beg for money from the government in the form of constant ads or other largesse.

We have to keep up the drive to have all Republicans stop buying their crap.

If you gotta watch tv, buy rabbit ears and watch what ever is free. You’ll find better things to do eventually

Why would you be so upset about Jews having to give up their possessions, when you are not a Jew.

Exactly.

Sanchez is a killer and has the gall to go after a guy on back taxes. We need a website devoted to outing these newspeople for who they really are.

This is where our FReeper energy should go for awhile IMO, eliminating the 5th column.
