Here's the video (for those whom missed it on TV) of McCain conceding the election:

There was this narrative, here on FR and elsewhere, that the momentum was toward McCain/Palin at the end and that the gap was closing. The actual results do not support this take.
I can’t remember did Palin give a speech ,
I don’t believe she did, Mccain looked
pretty upset she looked a little pissed off.
What happened last night is George W Bush got tossed under the bus in the form of John McCain. The voter hatred card has now been played and Obama will have to perform. I personally think Obama will be so bad for the country that he won’t even make it one term. His own party will throw him under the bus. Lets hope that happens before Obama put the country in an unrecoverable death spiral.
McCain is certainly a clone of Bob Dole........ I respect their service to the country, but we need young, CONSERVATIVE leaders out there who can attract new voters. The party needs to learn from this....
IMHO the best parts were his paraphrasing Lee at Gettysburg 'The fault is mine alone, not yours', and his praise for Sarah Palin.
Oh, I agree completely. I'm still in shock about NObama winning because we still do not know anything about the guy, and no one on the Obama bandwagon cared that they didn't know anything. The majority of his voters couldn't have voted for him on his policies because his policies don't make sense. It was a vote of 'tribalism'; it was a vote for anything "anti-Republican". We need to regroup and move forward. I feel badly for Sarah Palin because she really poured her heart and soul into this election. McCain didn't hammer NObama hard enough on all of hussein's unsavory ties , if you ask me. I look forward to Bobby Jindal and Sarah Palin and other quality folks stepping forward in the near future. I continue to pray for the U.S. and for the Military. NObama ain't my prezident.
Actually, I find that to be an insult and demeaning - that the clown believed he had to tell us that....
The fault was indeed HIS, and his unfounded belief that the media would continue to reward him as the "maverick"..
McCain never came to realize the media loved him ONLY because he was a sharp stick in the eyes of Conservative Republicans....
McCain was the WRONG man, at the WRONG time, with the WRONG message, the WRONG campaign strategy and his lame attempt to trump all that was to name a VP that might be acceptable to the conservative base of the party that McCain always INSULTED and DEMEANED.
Unfortunately for the country -- Palin's apron strings weren't strong enough to drag McCains back stabbing "maverick" carcass across the finish lines......"My Friends"..
