I’m so struggling with this right now.
I want so to pray for him even though my dislike for him is so strong. I know that God calls us to even pray for those “ who persecute us”... and our enemies...
I just hope you don’t post photos of him. That would make it harder. I mean that sincerely too...

Interesting post, Jesus did say to pray for ourselves and our children for the calamity approaching unknowingly to the masses of depraved humanity.
Why pray for him? Because it was our Lord’s command, and because if God truly changes his heart (which is my prayer), then it will go well with this nation. If not, we will justifiably bear God’s wrath.

Blogger, I want to thank you for setting up the prayer threads we had for the debates and for the election.
I’ll be honest with you—you are correct, but my emotions are too raw right now for me to pray for our next President.
Please say a prayer for me that I can be more magnanimous in defeat. I know better, but I have never been more profoundly disappointed in my fellow Americans than I am right now.
I feel like a man without a country.
After watching the President-elect give his speech tonight to his adoring minions, I sense, for the first time ever, that dark days lie ahead for my country. And I mean dark.
I know God is in control,and after the death of 60 million babies since 1973, God has been merciful to America up to now.
But something evil has this way come, and I need to rest before I engage it.
I don't know if Obama will open his heart and mind to God's wisdom and council, or if he will harden his heart and enclose his mind like Pharaoh, but I pray that if he does not listen to God, that at least some of those he surrounds himself with will be more receptive to divine council and wisdom.
Dear Lord Jesus,
We pray for our precious Country. Thank you for the Freedoms you have given us and we follow your will. Lord we pray you give wisdom and comfort to President Elect Obama in this time.

I really want to encourage us all to NOT watch Obama or give any more time to the MSM. I feel we need to now make a statement. THANKS but NO THANKS to them. Boycott TV altogether. God will honor us!!
My plan is to keep the format exactly like you see it on the blog. There will not be pictures of Obama. Just the cross and the flag. That is reminder enough of why we are doing this.
Pray about it. Don’t feel guilted. Just see if it is something you feel the Lord wants you to do.

I'm in. I said several days ago that irregardless of how this election went, the drive bys need to pay and pay dearly for their Stalinist propaganda.
I know this may be viewed as terribly un-Christian by some but at this point in time I cannot pray for Obama. I pray daily with another group for our country and will continue to do so. We prayed already this evening and have added to our list the names of those that we consider true Conservatives Congress members as well as a special request from one of our members whose parents were Christians in Iraq and were murdered last week as they were the last two coming out of church one evening with their Bibles in their hands. My father often quoted, “The willow tree which bends is stronger than the oak which resists” but I just can’t get to that point right now. I am consumed with sadness that I have lived all these years to see the last years of my life as I foresee them now. And more importantly I am frightened about the life that my adorable grandchildren may face.
Who knows bray - maybe God will work change in Obama so that the “change” Obama brings to our nation and the world will be completely different than his current intent!
I understand Grams A, and don’t sound apologetic regarding your feelings. You are still a dear Christian woman regardless if you join this particular ministry or not. The Lord bless you dear one!

Lord, thank you that you are still on your throne, that you rule the nations. Help us to remember that our hope is not in a political system. Our hope is not in a president. Our Hope is in you, Lord. We will obey your Word and pray for our leaders. We will pray that they would turn their heart toward you and do your will. We will continue to live our lives for You and not for man. Help us to be about Your business and fear no man.

I pray he falls in the pit he has dug as soon as possible. And may as many of his cohorts fall in with him.
I pray as many of his schemes, goals and lies are spread vividly across the land and the world in neon lights as thoroughly and candidly as possible in all their horror.
I pray he is humiliated as the duplicitous scoundral and traitor to all that is good as thoroughly and quickly as possible.
I pray that the whitewash hiding his evil is washed away as quickly as possible.
I pray that some of his loudest supporters see his evil first and cry the alarm first.
I pray that his name becomes a curse word amongst the Hollyweed and media elite first and as soon as possible.
I pray that his arrogance and outrageously black hearted evil will cause his shallow mask to slip and fall utterly to the ground never to be able to be in place again.
I pray that whatever righteous and patriotic forces may be available and called on to do heroic work will hinder the worst of his evil in every honorable practical way possible.
I pray that his arrogance and power-mongering and control freaque-ism become so overblown and so outrageously extreme that he wholesale decompensates in prime time on CNN and has to be led away to a permanent room in a very secure hospital.
May God have yet again at some point mercy on our land.
May this horrific judgment on our faithlessness to Him be short and limited.
