This happened because the Republican party abandoned fiscal conservatism. they voted for big government and wall street bailouts. they went with ‘faith based’ nonsense and became arrogant and disconnected from we the people who were their reason for existence.
THAT is how this happened. My comment to the Republican leadership is - take your medicine guys. learn from this, or fall from power.
