The Democrats are very effective liars and cheaters, and the people have been dumbed down because of indoctrination in government schools. They don’t understand economics, and things like the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac debacle, for which blame should be laid squarely at the Democrats’ feet, is blamed unfairly on the “Bush economic plan”. Add a generous helping of fawning media coverage, and voila...
The fact that a vicious demented jackal like Al Franken can ever be competitive for a seat in the US Senate is an indictment of our democracy — the media does a horrendous job overall and half or more of the populace either doesn’t know it or could not care less......
