CHICAGO -- In his first interview since he became an issue in the 2008 presidential campaign, Bill Ayers, the former Weather Underground leader, said today that he had a distant relationship with Barack Obama and that Obama's opponents had turned him into "a cartoon character."
Ayers, now an education professor at the University of Illinois-Chicago, said he thought the accusation by Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin that Obama had been "palling around with terrorists" was absurd.
"Pal around together? What does that mean? Share a milkshake with two straws?"Ayers said. "I think my relationship with Obama was probably like thousands of others in Chicago. And, like millions and millions of others, I wish I knew him better."

Yeah, I would definitely name someone that I didn’t know well to be the co-chairman of the board of a foundation I established and ask them to allocate $50-100 million for my pet projects. I would just find some young, inexperienced guy in the neighborhood who didn’t share my ideology to do this. Geez, the American people are really stupid!! You are right! These last few days he has be hinting what he has in store for the country. A Civilian National Force! Combine that direction with the likes of some of his associations such as Saudi Prince Al-Waleed Bin Talal, Hatem El-Hady,Islamist fundraiser for Terrorist, Dr. Khalid Al-Mansour, a wicked wicked man and adivisor to the Prince, Rashid Khalidi- Columbia Prof. and the list just goes on and on and not a soul in the mainstream media want to do any of the reporting.
