I know, I feel bad for him, he said the kids talk like this in school. I’ve raised him with a strong sense of being color-blind. Taken him to other countries starting at a young age, not to mention I was born over-seas with half of our family still in Europe. (Been able to share with him my mother’s Franco stories).
He is a very open minded kid, so it’s a serious insult for someone to say that to him. But, I need to remind him to ignore people who say that - the only people who talk like that are the ones who are not color blind and thinking about race too much and not the issues. It starts young, doesn’t it.
