First whole states close in 12 minutes.
Whew. Not unexpected.
I think the polls are just now closing in the panhandle of FL. That area will go for McCain.
Isn’t it a coal state too? I see your ethanol, and I raise you anthracite.
McCains ahead again in New Hampshire according to FOX
Virginia results...again, the People’s Republic of Northern Virginia usually comes in late:
Precincts Reporting: 300 of 2,496 (12.01%)
John McCain and Sarah Palin 161,959 56.01%
Barack Obama and Joe Biden 123,940 42.86%
Ralph Nader and Matt Gonzalez 1,090 0.37%
Bob Barr and Wayne A. Root 865 0.29%
Chuck Baldwin and Darrell L. Castle 728 0.25%
Write In 328 0.11%
Cynthia McKinney and Rosa Clemente 231 0.07%
I’m listening to Hugh too and no TV, just you guys....Me no like Shep
Hey EYORES, stop worrying about FL, it’s the liberal counties reporting.
NRO online blog says don’t sweat Indiana those tight numbers are coming from counties where that margin is expected.
McCain is ahead in Indiana at 19:55 pm
North Carolina with 1 percent of the vote in obama is ahead by about 100K votes.
The panhandle hasn’t even closed in FL yet.
Bill Kristol sounds like he’s ready to throw in the towel.
“Guys, its not gonna happen.
McCain is not up nearly enough in Indiana.”
Bullshit!
McCain is up 48% in IN and Obama is 40%.
Does anyone know what areas in NC are reporting?
Crystal said that the numbers coming in from different counties throughout the country are pretty consistent with what the polls have been indicating for a few days now. That's not good. Brit added that the blowout forecasted hasn't come to past what with States too close to call. In short it will be a longer night than Obama had hoped.
Wrong IN is split. The NW and SW corners are both on CST. About 8 counties if I remember correctly.
More North Carolina numbers are starting to roll in, interesting breakdown here. First column is “normal” voters from today, second column is early voting or absentee votes (they call it “One Stop Voting” here), third column is provisionals and will be zero for a while.
Choice Election Day Absentee / One Stop Provisional Total Percent
Obama/Biden 38,697 591,582 0 630,279 55.29%
McCain/Palin 47,651 453,538 0 501,189 43.97%
Barr/Root 521 4,750 0 5,271 0.46%
WRITE-IN 270 2,852 0 3,122 0.27%
Obama had almost 140,000 more early voters than McCain. Not sure how bad that is in the grand scheme of things.

Well the Georgia Sec of State website is only reporting 1% but so far McCain has 60.8% Obama 38% and Barr .7%. My district will be red for certain.
It looks like most of the North Carolina votes are coming from Charlotte, another democratic stronghold.
So in Florida and North Carolina there was a concerted effort to get in a lot of dem votes early in the tabulation.
These big Obama leads don’t mean anything right now.
When you say that the Florida panhandle doesn’t close until 8:00 pm do you mean EST or CST, because they are in the CST. Thanx
That Fox map is driving me crazy!
