First whole states close in 12 minutes.
Thank you for the lovely words, Star. ;)
Admit that is one hell of slogan. However, it will not bring you back from the wilderness.
You need to generate the votes Bush did in 2004 and a few more.
If there is a bright side to this moment, it is this: The Democrats and Obama will ruin this country in short order. America will wake up to a socialist hellhole, brought to them by the Democrat party, by this same time next year. If republicans can get back to our conservative roots, we will have a good chance of a sweep of the government by 2012.
Be prepared for a rough ride though for the next 4 years.
The RNC and GOP need to be revamped from top to bottom..
In the case of our enemies, Obama will have us in reaction mode only. Dangerous place to be. People will forget about taxes etc real quick...
LMAO! I love that movie.
Buck Laughlin: [as the hound judge examines a Borzoi] Now that looks like a fast dog. Is that faster than a greyhound?
Trevor Beckwith: Uhh... I can't really say...
Buck Laughlin: If you put them in a race, who would come in first? You know if you had a little jockey on them, going like this [imitates jockeys hitting the side of the horse]
No doubt about that and conservatives need to be prepared to stand our ground against the ‘Call Of The Rhino’!
The DBM will do what they always do..yes..we need to fight them with everything we have. Please read FRANKR’s posts at this thread:

My household is going on a ‘spending freeze’ for the next 4 years.
I hope you're sleeping in this morning! I imagine that it was hard to sleep for most of us. :-(
We have no idea what lies ahead, seat of the pants mgmt. can take the country almost anywhere.
750 votes I heard this morning
Oh contraire....we DO KNOW what is coming...THE LOOTER/MOOCHER SOCIETY! They are fixing to be rewarded for every bad financial decision they ever made. Their homes, cars and credit cards, that are now in default, will be paided for with the monies of the ‘Forgotten Man’(that’s us).
Hide your wallets folks. Market already down 172 points.
It is a sad day-no doubt. I could not get on last night so watched TV. I have read the posts. It’s daylight now the birds are singing. It’s a sunny day in Ohio-quite warm. Life goes on folk. It’s an election. There will be another chance for congress in two years. In four years, there will be a chance to win back the presidency. We should support President Obama where we can...it won’t be easy, but maybe we can find some common ground and work hard to help the country. Times are really bad right now. We should at least try.
As many of you know, McCain was not my guy;however, considering the economic situation McCain ran a decent race. I don’t know of anyone who could have won for the GOP this year. Also, I am now in Ohio. Yes, two moves in a year-job transfers. I hope I can keep my job-praying hard.
President Bush (I like the guy don’t get me wrong-good man)hurt McCain in Ohio. For heavens sake, Bush kept pushing the Korean and Colombian trade agreements. Come on, the Mid West has been badly hurt by unfair trade agreements as have Pennsylvania, Indiana and the entire Mid West. North Carolina has a garment industry on the ropes as well. (any of you drive through Gary Indiana lately?) Many of my neighbors considered trade the most important issue. This is also combined with health care as most who lost manufacturing jobs have lost health insurance. The GOP is blamed for trade (yes I told them Clinton signed NAFTA).
I have to say, you can not take an entire region-the Mid West -and lose thousands of good jobs without serious problems. Warren Ohio looks like a third world country in some places. Youngstown is ...awful. It is not enough to tell people ‘these jobs are not coming back ‘ as McCain did in Michigan. They will not vote for you. The Midwest is going to be very difficult for the GOP until trade is addressed. You all know where I stand. All great countries need a manufacturing base.
In closing, I am deeply saddened by the outcome of this election, but we can reshape our party into something all Americans will want to support. We can win the hearts of minds of America. The future is bright. In the words of Arnold, ‘we will be back’.
Thanks for the post and sharing your views. Ohio is really screwed now that your state has helped to usher in socialism. Manufacturing is going to flee this country in record numbers. I am putting some of my money into ‘Big Liquor’ for the next 4 years....lol!!
Hey, I'm just trying to fit in with the new government....stomach churning... stool loosening...
