Thanks from me too JimRob. Free Republic made this nightmare of an evening as enjoyable as it could be under the circumstances.

It’s as though we’ve entered a kind of Twilight Zone where the old accepted virtues of honesty, courage, honor, truthfulness, living up to one’s word - mean absolutely nothing.
Cheating, lying, fraud, treason, the stab in the back, deceit - are now de regeur (sp?). They’re all fine, now, and anyone espousing or trying to live up to the virtues will be reviled as an anachronism.

They will try to blame it on the R's but there won't be anyone to point to. Exactly. EVERYTHING that happens from here on will be on the democrats watch.
Who is John Gault? Starve the beast!

We lost and that is that. He is our President whether we like it or not. I will not be like the Rats and will support him until he can be defeated in the ballot box.
The good news is that sometimes you need to Restart your computer and now is time to Restart the Republican Party.
Pray for W, Obama and Our Troops

That too, but I especially want to find ways to keep from contributing to this government. I can live very simply, it doesn’t bother me a bit.
To: silent_jonny
Why NOT? He can make it seem like the “Peace Corp” and with the stroke of the pen....voila!

As president (I won't capitalize president when referring to him)I won't be referring to him as "president" at all, it will be MISTER, just as the MSM et al have referred to President Bush for the past 8 years. And that's if I'm in a charitable mood.
To: Im4realamerica
All of these people, and I mean all of these people worshiping this man are going to be very upset over the next 6 months.
If their lives aren't magically transformed into a land of dolphins and unicorns living happily ever after by June, Obama is going to be a dirty word.
He's set them up with promises upon promises. There has to be a proportional payoff, now. If the Treasury is empty, and inflation hits, what then, Barack?

To: concerned about politics
You’re my model, and that’s just the principle from which to operate. The more simple my life, the less entanglement with and contribution to, this government. If enough of us did this, it would matter.
To: bray
Good gravy, maybe even Indiana will be in Obama’s column. What on earth is up with my world?!?

Hey, we handled a load tonight that wouldve smoked our old system and left it a smoldering puddle of melted iron. FR is a LifeLine, Jim, and we really apreciate it and all you do. I turned off all media, and depended wholly on FR.
And it is going to be a critical piece in the future.

I think John Wayne put it best when JFK was elected in 1960: “I didnt vote for him but hes my president, and I hope he does a good job.”
