Karl Rove Projects Obama Victory @ 11:16 am by Hill Staff

Karl Rove, the Republican strategist who engineered two successful elections for George W. Bush, projected Barack Obama would win the Electoral College in his final election analysis.

Rove, who has been tracking the race with predictions throughout the cycle, estimated that Obama would win 338 electoral votes, while Republican nominee John McCain would win 200.

Glad you weren't at Valley Forge.

Exit polls had Kerry winning Ohio.

Exit polls had Gore winning Fl.

Nothing new here, the media thought Gore would win, he didn't.

They thought Kerry would win, he didn't.

The Media sees this as their last chance to hit Bush by defeating McCain, and have done everything they can to make it appear that Obama is going to win-he won't.

Question: if public polling data is so darn reliable, why did Rove waste money on private polling when he was an actual somebody running W’s campaigns????

You must value Rove’s opinion a lot to post something that has been posted 106 times already. Maybe you should value the search function.

"Rove made his prediciton based on available media polls."

Funny, I didn't see anything written by Rove saying such a thing.

I only see something written by someone else saying he said those things, without any reference to anything written and posted by Rove, or reference to a conversation at a specific time that could be verified.

Gee, Doug let’s see you join FR 10/28/2008. You bash Bush as “dithering idiot” while he tried too hard to please Democrats, that expression is soooo Democrat. And you tell us to just accept and prepare for Obama 4 years.

Be honest are you trying to discourage us?? I hope not as it fails.

I hope I’m wrong, but Barack Obama won today’s election.

So, instead of getting angry at me for pointing out the obvious, let’s discuss stragety together so we can reclaim our republic.

idea #1: Join all pro-2nd Amendment Organizations, in particular, FREEPERS should join the NRA and GOA. And the JFTPFO (Jews for the Preservation of Firearms... just google “Jews” “Firearms” “Preservation” - it’s an excellent organization).

Idea #2: Buy half a dozen guns of various calibers. Pick out two shotguns, one revolver, one semi-auto pistol and two rifles. Buy a pick-up trucks worth of ammo and practice.

Idea #3: Buy a pool table for your home. This will increase your hand eye coordination and teach you to think two or three shots ahead. The guy who thinks ahead will prepare himself for what lies ahead. And, the short and sweet of it, the guy who is prepared for the future is many times more likely to succeed.

In addition to teaching you thinking skills, a pool table is good clean fun for the whole family and will keep the family in the house playing pool and not on the dangerous Barack Obama streets.

Idea #4: Go to church or shul regularly and pray for America.

Idea #5: Think about the possibility of succession - this is usually an unpopular idea but the demographics of America are changing and people of color have strong proclivities toward “groupthink” and not individuality. Also, the more people who depend on the govt will continue to vote lefty.

If you only take Idea #3 seriously, you can buy a great pool table from A.E. Schmidt, Brunswick, or Olhausen. Google each, and enjoy yourself.

I voted for John McCain today.

The ONLY poll that matter is the one today when voters actually VOTE.

Rove doesn’t have access to internal polls.

Can you back that up? I don't think you know.

Contrary to the poster in post two Rove is nothing more than a media whore. He has prostituted himself in this election.

He knows that the polls are over sampling democrats by as much as 15 points and fails to mention it.

I hope should we win we an get rid of RINO’s like Rove.

Go vote it’s the only poll that counts.

Even Dick Morris says that the polls don’t know what the hell their talking about.

I guess Rove is hoping O wins.

“No need for Dems to go vote if Rove says Barry Hussein has it in the bag...”

...I’m with you! Yesterday I would’ve said “this will dishearten SOME conservatives and they won’t vote”. I’m seeing the voter turn out today and reading about it in other parts of the country and I’ve changed my tune. We ARE voting! We have NOT been dis-heartened!

Not angry at you at all.

Your post back to me has nothing to do with your statement that I replied to regarding your hope that FReepers not become loyal lefties.

John McCain and Sarah Palin will win this election.

Did Rove convince Bush that the best way to engage the MSM and democrat attack machines, smearing him 24/7 for 8 years, would be to ignore them?? Tremendous harm was done both to Bush and more importantly, to the republican party and the US because Bush refused to defend himself by making sure the truth got out to the American public. Did Rove consider this hide-under-the-bed tactic a smart one? Beats me. But the spinelessness and RINO predilections of republicans who we elected to stand up to the left—not roll over and join it—have done great damage to the country and are, more than anything else, putting our rights and freedom in jeopardy.

I wonder how many people there are like me.

I usually get down to vote first thing in the morning and have been the first voter on a couple of different occasions. This year I’m less than enthusiastic and haven’t even gone yet but will wander down there before the polls close.
