I should think theose union guys are used to this crap. They probably either hang up, say “Obama” and then vote however they want to vote.
I know Rendell is an old pol, been around forever, big union guy, etc., but for some reason I find him likable and not too far out in left field. He knows those union bosses probably better than anyone. If he’s hesitant about Obama’s success in PA, maybe McCain-Palin have a snowball’s chance.
That is essentially what the article was suggesting. The union guys there know to either refuse to participate or to give the approved answer and do whatever they want. It would seem that under normal voting circumstance the union guys probably vote how their leadership wants them to because it would be consistent with their perceived (not necessarily real) interests. This is different.
Many of us have probably been in a situation where we felt pressured to “give the right answer.” It is not a good feeling . . .
Below 48 for Obama is death.
***All P.U.M.A website has told their people to tell pollsters they were voting for OBAMA!***
???
Is the idea to keep the west coast from voting at all?
(we know they will be solid dim)
***What some people dont know is that CO has a big coal industry, too. Im hoping against hope the coal story will wake some people the hell up in that state.***
Yeah, forgot about that!
Put down your guns and Bibles long enough to vote today or have them confiscated tomorrow.
And next election, we need to do the same - tell the pollster you are supporting the opposition candidate. We can skew the polls so badly the scourge of endless polling will be put to bed forever. The end of Zogby, the end of Rassmussen, the end of CBS, the end of...Put them all out of business.
“All P.U.M.A website has told their people to tell pollsters they were voting for OBAMA!”
I don’t believe the PUMA’s. In the end they are still radical leftists and there aren’t enough of them to change the election anyway. They are just making noise to feel included in the process.
I believe that the Bradley Effect is in play with EVERY poll that we are seeing these days. McCain will win PA, and OH and VA, for that matter.

I don’t know where to post this info . My husband just called to see if I was up yet. He said the GOP called from the place where we are supposed to go and the lines are two to three hundred deep so expect to wait in line. Middle Paxton right outside of Harrisburg. Pa. I’m driving over to get in line! I’ve never ever in had to stand in line be it here or my old township of West Hanover more then 5 minutes.
My theory is that Obama's draw was largely emotional and undecideds largely aren't available for that draw. They are undecided because they are more careful and critical, less easily swayed by hype.
That is why the big Obama push for early voting, not to lock in the faithful, chanting masses, but to keep the leaners from becoming undecided.
Another thing, McCain's gains never came from the undecideds until the last week when they had to make up their minds. He always drew from Obama defectors along the way.
Rendell is anything but likeable. My b/f is a PSP. They must have a large photo of Rendell in the lobby of each barracks. In the crime room they have a large photo of him warmly greeting a member of the Pagans an hugging him at a Rendell campaign. He’s a creep.
This isn't a conversation Whites/Hispanics have with each other. The polled were exposing their own racial bias to the pollsters.
Again, that is wrong, but it is still reality in America and has to be factored in. Ya can't force social integration on people and Blacks like a Colin Powell, with a tremendous resume' would have a much better chance of overcoming racial bias, not someone from the neighborhood.
Thank you for the post! That is very good news for PA. Harrisburg is a Republican strong-hold. Great to hear there is a big, early turnout.
I think that Rendell is smart -- smart enough to see that if Obama wins, anybody who every supported Hillary will be purged from any position of power and replaced by an Obama loyalist. I don't think he is thrilled at the thought of what would happen to him once Obama was securely in power.
