The Alaska Governor instead invokes Joe the Plumber and his view of Obama's tax plan when asked by CNN investigative reporter Drew Griffin whether she would label the Democratic nominee a socialist.
Though suggests Obama would "take more from small businesses and redistribute that according to his priorities," saying that's "not good for the entrepreneurial spirit."

The whole party is backing away from that claim. Don’t know why but it’s just not her. Give her some slack.
That's more like the truth.
Don't be silly. It's completely appropriate for Governor Palin to refrain from calling Osama a socialist. He's a Maoist atheist.
There's a difference.A big difference.
She still could have said “Marxist background and history, why don’t you ask him if he still clings to the failed policies of Mugabe, Obadinga, Castro, Chavez, etc.?”
Infuriating.
This article is from almost 2 weeks ago.
Because she doesn’t play TIMES games? Clown.
While refusing to name "it", she goes on to describe what "it" is.
I think the question was appropriately answered.
GRIFFIN: Governor, is Barack Obama a socialist? It appears to me she wouldn't give a yes or no answer. That's not quite the same as Governor Romney's blanket dismissal of the idea.PALIN: I'm not going to call him a socialist. But as Joe the plumber has suggested, in fact he came right out and said it, it sounds like socialism to him. And he speaks for so many Americans who are quite concerned now after hearing finally what Barack Obama's true intentions are with his tax and economic plan.
IMO.
I agree. She went on to answer it by describing what he does...but that doesn’t change the fact that his views and plans are marxist in nature, which, IMHO, is exactly what he is.
I suspect the RNC has done some polling that confirms that the average American is pretty stupid and does not know the difference between a socialist and a person who is social or has a social conscience. McCain, Palin, Romney, and others have are now avoiding the word "socialists" so as not to confuse the electorate.
It's called the McCain Rino Virus and he infected her
This article is from October 21st. Since then, she has used the term “socialism” in her speeches when she talks about Joe the Plumber.
the “let Sarah be Sarah” problem
We must trust her wisdom, she understands the games that the media likes to play. She can give them no ammunition this close to the finish line. She is doing a GREAT job. I must say that I’m quite proud of her.
Smart! The media want it to come out of her mouth so they can paint her as a hater, divider or some other agenda. Obvious because they asked the same question of Romney. They want a sound bite or something.
Smartly, she said it without saying it by making the words come out of Joe the Plumber’s mouth, not her’s. She sidestepped a trap.
