This is a bit of a stretch. It may have been a Freudian thing, but it doesn’t look like a conscious move to me.

There is enough real stuff against this man. We don’t need to grasp at straws. Let’s stay focused on the real problems.

Focus on the message? With 24 hours to go in the election. The message isn’t getting out. This is a pattern of behavior from Obama. It isn’t as if this is the first time he’s done this.

Understood.

However, I don’t think it’s a natural gesture. Try it yourself.

Yeah, we’re gonna agree with you ... NOT. The little Marxist squirrel rubs his face with the first finger, to alert his sycophancy and draw their attention to what he does next with the well differentiated middle finger. And this time, to be sure his lowlife sycophants caught it, he did it toward the camera rather to the side as he did with Hillary.

Did you ever see the propaganda photograph of the crew of the Pueblo after being captured by the North Koreans? The photo was part of a propaganda campaign to show that the sailors were being treated well. All of the sailors were giving the finger when photo was shot but the North Koreans didn’t notice anything.

It was not until one of the members of out idiot traitor press corp revealed what the sailors were doing that the North Koreans found out and then they proceeded to beat the sailors senseless.

Bambi is flipping mac the bird, that I have no doubt, and his commie cronies are laughing their heads off.

I’ll tell you why its not a freudian.....on both instances, obama was speaking about his competitor and said their name at about the same moment. That happens by choice and desire to send a message of disrespect. No accident.

obama is a punk...just like the punk kids you see in the neighborhood or wherever...that is obama’s maturity. Just like the ‘say it to my face’ comment...only a punk says that.

If this is a natural or unconscious gesture, there should be lots of pics and video of him scratching with his middle finger at times when he’s talking about his grandmother, or daughters or health care or arugula—not just during a pregnant pause while referring to his opponent.

The real stuff about Obama is that he has contempt for ‘ordinary’ Americans. That includes about 99.999999% of us.

You have to put it into context of prior behavior. The link at my post #3 above shows Obama doing exactly the same thing, and more importantly the reaction from the crowd.

In this case, Obama was flipping off Hillary:

So, give that he has done this at least twice towards Hillary during the primaries, the gesture during 'praise' of McCain looks much less 'Freudian' and much more deliberate to me.

This is not grasping at straws, many voting behaviors are based on your subconscious gut reactions, they have done numerous psychological studies to show that people don’t always vote on issues, it is more primal.

This will resonate and it reveals what Obama plans to do to America if elected.

No offense but it would seem that a screen name of "PsyOps" would indicate an interest in Psych Ops or any subliminal message that Obama has "accidently" done before.

While this may be a stretch, the fact remains that any major candidate's senior support staff would have drilled home the fact that coverage at this intensity means you are careful with every gesture you do, particuarly when it comes to touching one's face. I remember during the town hall debate with McCain, Obama picked at his nose a couple times and it was less than presidential.

The bottomline: right at the point that Obama was stating a congratulations to McCain was surely a moment when one makes sure that ones body language isn't misinterpreted to mean the opposite. As far as I am concerned I believe it was done on purpose because it was at a key moment that the networks (talk about Pysch Ops) surely would use a clip of.

It is not a natural motion for virtually anyone, I would wager. Try it yourself, see if you would ever use your middle finger that way to touch your face, especially in front of thousands of people. I’ve been sitting here experimenting with both of my hands trying to imagine touching/scratching my face with various knuckles and fingers. I cannot find any “natural” and comfortable way to use my middle finger to touch or rub or scratch my face. It always feels quite awkward, unnatural, and uncomfortable. Index finger, palm of hand, two or more fingers, or knuckle(s), sure, but not that middle finger alone. It does not comfortably open up enough to be a natural motion like what Obama just did — the only use of the middle finger in that context is to “flip the bird.”
