With their candidate working to catch up in the polls just days before the presidential election, John McCain’s campaign team has given less attention than its Democratic rivals to drawing up lists of potential Cabinet appointments and White House staff members.
Previous reports have indicated that McCain’s transition team, headed by former Navy Secretary John Lehman, has given particular attention to the area of national security, but may not be as far advanced as Barack Obama’s team in actually slating names for specific administration positions.

I agree with those two picks. Romney in anything dealing with economy will be a huge boost to his presidency.

Fred as AG. Bolton for State.
Knowing McCain, he’ll probably ask Obama to become the Education Secretary.
Maybe he’ll offer him Ambassador to Kenya.
I would like to see Gen General James Cartwright as Sec Def (although Keeping Gates isn’t a bad idea), Bolton Sec of State (clean-up time), Steve Forbes- Treasury or Commerce...

Yeah, but at least if Lindsey gets a high position in the McCain Administration, we won't hear whining from the gay community about the administration not being "inclusive."
CT Gov. Rell(R) appoints a R to replace him (might need to to still have the fillibuster available). Either way it's a +1 for the GOP Senate.
I could also see a Ben Nelson or other D Senator from a Republican state being tapped as a way to boost the GOP Senate.

Rudy for AG would be great. Fred would be good a Chief of Staff I believe.
Obama has more experience in the DEA realm.
Venezuela would be better as we need a well schooled socialist to be able to speak to another well schooled socialist dictator.
