"No evidence that Obama benefited from the infomercial. Obama's support dropped 1.1%, McCain's gained 0.8%. The last day of polling had McCain winning 48% to 47%. Zogby cautions us to wait until tomorrow to see if McCain really has traction. " Pollster John Zogby: "Is McCain making a move? The three-day average holds steady, but McCain outpolled Obama today, 48% to 47%. He is beginning to cut into Obama's lead among independents, is now leading among blue collar voters, has strengthened his lead among investors and among men, and is walloping Obama among NASCAR voters. Joe the Plumber may get his license after all. "Obama's lead among women declined, and it looks like it is occurring because McCain is solidifying the support of conservative women, which is something we saw last time McCain picked up in the polls. If McCain has a good day tomorrow, we will eliminate Obama's good day three days ago, and we could really see some tightening in this rolling average. But for now, hold on."

If you saw Mac’s latest speech in PA this afternoon on Fox, he had the crowd going nuts with his stand up and fight with me conclusion...

There is such a purpose, conviction, and passion to his speeches that were missing earlier in the campaign. People are really responding to this.

Zogby is getting a sense of what is going on with common folk all over this country.

McCain should have attacked Obama on Defense. That is why McCain peaked up a bit when Biden said that thing about being tested.. Hate to be gender bias..but taxes move men..Safety moves women. That is the only thing with the exception of a good looking, smooth talking liar...McCain is getting clobbered among women thus he needed to attack Obama on his statements about slashing defense and protecting our women and children..he didn’t now who knows...

Obama's infomercial, in other words, cost him votes. It failed to stop the shift to McCain. The Dems are panicked.

Don’t trust Zogby. He’s polls are fixed like the rest of them. He is setting Conservatives up so he can bring them to their knees prior to the election. He can just as easily show Obama +10 tomorrow like Gallup did (FAIL)

Ignore the Polls, Pray and Work for it!

John McCain wants to be President for the right reasons. The fact that he would not be my first choice in a perfect world is irrevalent. He wants it to serve the Nation.

Obama, on the other hand, wants the Nation to serve him.

God Bless John McCain and Sarah Palin.

Neighbors on both sides of me, and also behind me, told me they will be voting McCain — and all three of these families are non-political Dem-leaning types.... and usually don’t go out of their way to vote.

Likewise, the guy down the street, a car mechanic, hasn’t voted in years — yet he is really into it... he asked me for McCain signs, and now is ticked cause the Obama Thugs keep stealing them

Antedoctal, yes. But it sort of gives me hope that this scenario is playing out all across America as non-political people are gonna rally to support McCain/Palin.

You know it will be good if McCain wins, but then what? We are still facing a RINO as president. We really lose no matter what the outcome.

""No evidence that Obama benefited from the infomercial..."

I heard it turned a lot of Obama supporters off. Maybe not enough to sway a vote but most thought it was boring, self-serving and a waste of time and money.

“No evidence that Obama benefited from the infomercial”

Obama’s infomercial may have had the reverse effect. After people saw him in the “fake” oval office I bet a lot of buyer's remorse set in. Go Sarah!

As the election approaches, Zogby is moving toward reality. So will other pollsters who would like to work other elections.

Obama’s gotten all the gains he’s going to get from skewed polls. The pollsters now will be concerned with their reputations for accuracy.

He came out very different today sadly. Thankfully John is not known for his, how shall we put this, accuracy. Still it would be better to have done better.

“UTICA, New York — After a strong day of polling for Republican presidential candidate John McCain on Friday, Democrat Barack Obama experienced a strong single day of polling on Saturday, retaining a 5.7 point advantage that is right at the edge of the margin of error of the Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby daily tracking poll. The race has remained remarkably stable down the stretch, this three-day rolling average poll shows.”
