NORTHFIELD, Minn. - A professor has confessed on a national blog to stealing Republican presidential campaign signs in southern Minnesota.
Philip Busse wrote about the thefts on Huffington Post, a liberal news Web site and blog in a post dated Thursday. He is a visiting professor in the theater department at St. Olaf College in Northfield.
In the article titled "Confessions of a Lawn Sign Stealer," Busse admits to stealing seven McCain/Palin lawn signs along Hwy. 19 near St. Olaf.
In an e-mail to the Northfield News, Busse expressed remorse, saying it was "immature and impetuous." He says he is disappointed most readers have focused on the thefts and not the larger issues of his writing. ___

What a dimwit: glorifying in this on the Huffington blog. Sorry if this has been published and feel free to delete. By the way, Northfield where this happened I guess is where the James gang lost a big showdown at the bank.

You want people to start taking you seriously? Stop stealing stuff that doesn't belong to you.

St. Olaf’s Lutheran College, I have no problem with, but it costs an arm and a leg to send a student there I understand. How’d this guy ever get hired?

So, this "professor" is upset that people are angry with his stealing and denying the free speech of others, rather than seeing things way. Is that about right?
St. Olaf administrators, I just bet you are proud you have this guy teaching your students. The next time you hit up folks for donations, do make sure you have his photo on the brochure.

He's a "visiting professor".
I suspect his visit is about to end, prematurely.

Been having an ongoing battle with Obama thugs who are stealing THESE signs here in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
OBAMA: supported by thugs, anti-Americans, terrorists, and illegal ACORN voters
McCAIN: supported by hard-working Americans.
These signs literally drive Democrats NUTS!!!
Seriously. They have been driving around trying to guess when and where I post these signs along the roadways.

With this nut job's photo on the front, at least it would be truth in advertising.
I am sure St. Olaf has some lovely young ladies attending classes. But, after almost 10 years of working in academia I can safely say that egocentric liberals are more frequently found on campus than super models of Nordic descent.

Ah, yes...Northfield. “The town of cows, colleges, and contentment...” St. Olaf’s on the west side, Carleton on the east side. FULL TO BURSTING with the usual suspects. My poor relatives...

We watch St. Olaf’s Christmas concert on PBS every year. They have a fair percentage of willowy Scandinavian lovelies. (In Lutheran choir robes, of course :-). Nonetheless, I’m sure the faculty is heavy on batty libs.

St. Olaf is affiliated with the ELCA, the more liberal branch of Lutheranism in the US (as opposed to the Missouri Synod, which is pretty conservative). It's not inexpensive, but it is a relative bargain: about $8-10,000 per year less than East or West coast private liberal arts colleges in it's class (US News top 50 liberal arts colleges) and still need blind admissions. One of my daughters is a fairly recent graduate; she really liked St. Olaf.
I checked on the website, this guy is a Theater Instructor, pretty junior non-tenure track faculty; probably a 1 year appointment. I have written to the President of the college - no more money until this guy is gone.

They have a fair percentage of willowy Scandinavian lovelies. Walking around campus in the late Spring is pretty amazing... more blondes than anywhere west of Oslo (Bergensers tend to be dark haired - German blood from the Hanseatic league days...)
