ZOGBY SATURDAY: McCain outpolled Obama 48% to 47% in Friday poll. He is beginning to cut into Obama's lead among independents, is now leading among blue collar voters, has strengthened his lead among investors and among men, and is walloping Obama among NASCAR voters. Joe the Plumber may get his license after all...

Forget these polls. Get every Republican, conservative and PUMA to the polls.

Zogby did this before, BUT it wasn’t a McCain lead, was it?
IICR his last one day polling (which will be factored into his rolling average) had McCain close, but not ahead.

That’s yesterday’s #. Today’s will be O+4 or 5 (as Wednesday was O+11/12. So average 11, 5, and -1.

Rasmussen was on Fox today and said his state polling is lagging the national trends but he sees they are trending the same way...it is tightening...and he said something to the effect that it’s getting as close as it’s ever been.

Built-in suspicions about the polling and media biases against conservatism have made it difficult for many of us to accept these polls at face value, that they are an honest assessment. The very same pressure many of us suspect as skewing the polls from the pollster/media side has, I suspect, skewed respondents answers as well - i.e. the adolescent peer-pressure to do the hip, "in" thing and say "I support the black guy because I'm a tolerant, politically-correct 'with-it' dude!" And then there are folks like me who simply don't answer the call because it's nobody's business how we intend to vote.
At any rate, cause for optimism, but don't let up, folks!

The Zogby average was Obama +7 and that was FROM YESTERDAY. Today’s Friday number is all that is out and that is McCain+1. The three day track number will be out in 20 minutes, and should be around Obama +5.
