If Barack Obama is elected into office as the 44th president of the United States on Nov. 4 and voters, in tandem, give the Democrats 60 seats in the Senate and give them a solid majority in the House. What happens after Inauguration Day?
Single-party rule is inherently totalitarian whether the people consent to it or not. In most cases, one-party states rise out of authoritarian regimes, including former monarchies, or socialist revolutions. There are currently seven - China, Cuba, Eritrea, Laos, Vietnam, Syria, Korea. The United States would become the eighth.
Single-party rule is something to fear in and of itself - particularly from a spending standpoint, regardless of which party has absolute power. From 2003 to 2005, George W. Bush and the Republican Congress created the largest expansion of Medicare in history the prescription-drug bill and started two wars. They also succeeded in creating the largest tax cut in history.

Now all we need are some true blue conservatives to replace the RINOs & Rats in D.C.!
We’ve tried and they are all labeled as right wing nuts, the majority wants commies.

Things will go to hell. The Dems will overplay their hand and begin attacking each other, and the economy will stagger along. In two years the Dems will have blown it, BO might very well be impeached if he tries seizing too much of other peoples wealth to spread around too quickly. There is going to be a definite pass the popcorn atmosphere, if they dont fatally endanger our national security while they are changing things. And if they do, it might not take two years.
I fear our young will be brain washed during that time and we will never recover!

If we all stopped spending money we don’t absolutely need to spend, we could bring the dims more economic trouble then they could ever imagine. No movies, no ballgames, no going out to eat...no spending!
A boycott does make sense but what about these welfare recipients? they will be spending the $$ you are talking about

The problem is, half the workforce is made up of Conservatives. Stop buying at your own risk. No sales, no jobs...
But and i say but, look at how many illegals are replacing this work force? don’t you think Bambi would recruit more? & more?

I think we’re all pondering points like the ones you made here. Yes, we had the House, the Senate, the White House and even seven of nine of the Supremes. What happened indeed?
The really tragic part of this, is that is what we spent decades hoping for. And then our leaders got it, and they blew it. RINOs on parade...
So how do we ask to be given that situation again with a straight face?
Honestly, it’s like a Greek Tragedy. About all you can do is shake your head. We were failed miserably. And we pretty much went with the flow the whole time. We didn’t hold their feet to the fire. We’re as much to blame as they were.
I’m really embarrassed by what I allowed to happen on my watch.

Radix - I certainly hope you are voting for McCain in this election to keep a Hugo Chavez from being elected President. In my case I got over the frustration you expressed long ago. But I understand yours. But this is a grueling marathon and we really need your help.

Perhaps so Brian. I’m still confident McCain/Palin will pull it out. If not, we may be looking at serious trouble ahead.
We’ll see. Keep a stiff upper lip.
