GOP internal polling ... McCain landslide? (grain of salt / feel good alert)
Quinn and Rose Radio Show

Posted on 10/31/2008 4:52:28 AM PDT by The G Man

A regular caller to the Quinn and Rose radio program, "Carl from Ohio," who claims to be involved in the McCain campaign's internal polling operation (I know, I know ...), says that unless the Obama fraud is so widespread it will be a McCain landslide.

Here is what he says the GOP internal state by state polling is showing for last night:

NJ M - 48, O - 43, U-7
MI M - 44, O- 42, U - 10
CA O - 44, M - 43, Barr - 3, U - 9
PA M - 55, O - 33, U - 10

He says undecideds are breaking 4:1 for McCain.

In Pennsylvania, the Dem vote is O - 47, M - 37, U - 13

#1 issue for Dems voting for McCain is the that Obama is cheating and trying to buy the election

I predicted a similar Pennsylvania number last night:

Strategic Vision Pennsylvania Poll: 049%, McCain 44%

I’d bet the real numbers are more like McCain 58%, Obama 36% with the rest undecided. Everyone I talk to in Pennsylvania assures me that McCain will win BIG.

That simply is not true. If internal polls were like that you’d see McCain outside of red states + PA to put pressure on Obama. And they wouldn’t be sending Palin to Indiana to try to secure things, if McCain is up in all those states then he’s up double digits in Indiana.

All you need to know about internal polls is to watch where the candidates are appearing. That will tell you what those polls are really saying. The caller was yanking everyone’s chain.

We can only hope and pray at this point. But my uncle, a teacher from WI, who detests Bush, tends to favor Dems and hates conservatives, is hard-core anti-Obama this cycle. Biggest question in my mind is if the PUMA thing is for real. If it is, the liberal pollsters and MSM have every reason to cover it up. We’ll find out on Tuesday.

I’m 10,000 miles away and I can smell the BS from here.

If McCain wins NJ I will personally ask the Pope to make him a saint since he would have performed millions of miracles in one day.

If it ends up taking the media longer than normal to start calling states, then we will know it is a good night for Mac. If they wait a long time to call PA, then Mac wins it.

I do beleive that this whole campaign has been about Obama all along. McCain just happens to be running too.

Having said that, all those undecideds out there are proof that people still feel that the change Obama will bring is not going to be good change.

Not surprised that the undecideds will break for McCain and hopefully save us from a 4 year disaster worse than Carter.

Probably Karl from the Simpsons. We all know he is a black Republican. Lenny OTOH is in the tank for Zero this cycle.

It's possible. There could be a very big and very silent, "silent majority" out there.

People are afraid of being "plumbered."

Here, near Worcester, MA, I've counted more McCain signs than Obama signs, believe it or not.

AAll you need to know about internal polls is to watch where the candidates are appearing.

That's exactly correct. Some stoopid ASU poll came out yesterday and showed OBamBam tied with McCain here in Arizona, and the local Dem dyke guv was prolly swinging from the 9th floor chandelier with glee, since she endorsed ONoBam and is angling for a cabinet post.

However, when JD Hayworth (now back to talk show broadcasting) came on in the afternoon, he pointed out two things. One, the poll methodology was flawed, in that it was done on the weekend (a no no), and two: If it was truly tied here, both candidates would be coming here -- McCain to save his home state, and OBozo to embarrass McCain by stealing his home state. And after all, 10 electoral votes ain't nothin'

Neither candidates or the VP candidates has set foot in Arizona, so that tells you that internal polling is showing both campaigns that AZ is securely in the McCain column.

WI anecdote:

I was told Tuesday that the old hippies and rich progressives here in rural SW WI, which has gone Dem since Clinton (we are in that solid blue strip along the Mississippi River)are voting Nader, staying home or voting McCain. I was told by someone else that when the Wright video came out, the reaction of the hate Bush crowd was “He’s (zerO) screwed”. Both sources for this information are sane Dems who have daily contact with the loons.

If the East side of the River goes for Mac, then there is a chance he wins IA, too, on the West side. Eastern IA is more liberal than Western IA.

This reminds me of Reagan’s win over Carter. I was without media, except for radio, back then, there was no Internet for folks like us and at first, no one believed it.
