Isn’t the governor in Hawaii a Republican?

You sure you’re not a mole?...

How about we let the US Supreme Court determine his eligibility, as per the US Constitution.

After all, if he’s legally qualified, that is quite simple to prove. Couldn’t be any simpler. Just show us, for crying out loud.

Call a press conference. And SHOW US.

So. Why’s he fighting such a simple thing?

It really seems Obama is very desperately hiding something.

Willing to spend quite a lot of money on high-priced lawyers in fact, to hide it.

WHAT IS HE HIDING?

My question is: "What is the utility of 'public records' if the public, and even the government, can only access them with the permission of a private individual?"

The purpose of "public records" is a PUBLIC purpose, not an individual purpose. Public agencies, private individuals, and Joe the Plumber, should be able to look at "public records" for any legal purpose. They may, perhaps not be allowed to have a certified copy of those records, but they should be able to inspect them.

Well the reason I think the founding fathers gave us a month between the election and the electoral college vote was for issues like this.

It’s up to the Congress to figure out if he’s eligible or not.
