Your experience is likely not that uncommon. All elections are divisive, but this much more so than any of the others I've participated in.

McCain is far from the perfect candidate and is far from being conservative enough. However, with his past of walking the aisle between parties, even threatening to switch parties, he just may be the best man for the times.

Normally I would not feel this way, wanting instead an overwhelmingly conservative ticket and not someone who has had such a long history in DC, but in times like these, perhaps that is exactly what is needed. I know the divisiveness and general unrest we see now will be much, much worse if 0bama wins and he, Reid and Pelosi have their way with the country, courts and Constitution.

but if we had Hunter or Thompson, would we have gotten Sarah?
