My feeling is that, despite Phillip Berg’s case being dismissed by the judge in the case, this issue will not go away. Ever.

No matter which way this election goes, the Birth Certificate issue is going to haunt Obama until the mystery is solved.

Too many Americans are now aware that his citizenship is under a cloud of suspicion, and they will not let it rest - even if he tries to quietly go back to the Senate after losing the election.

I honestly don’t think that Obama can win the presidential election, but even if he did, Americans would demand en masse that he prove his eligibility as a “natural born citizen” to assume the office.

ON THE COMING CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS (Why McCain needs to win) This was sent to Rep Judy Biggert (R-IL-13) last week:

Dear Rep Biggert:

There has been a troubling lawsuit, now dismissed, in Pennsylvania that attempted to clarify the citizenship and eligibility for the Democrat candidate who is running for President.

The courts have thusfar ruled that the US citizen who brought the case does not "have standing" in the court. The question needs to be asked 'Who has standing to challenge the eligibility of a Presidential candidate?

From what I can tell, the determination of eligibility happens at the Elector College step. In this current campaign, if the Democrat challenger wins, there will be a constitutional crisis the likes we have never seen.

In response to the lawsuit, the DNC was joined. A spokesman from the DNC to the court admitted, on the record, that if the true birth and citizenship information was made public, it would be "embarrassing to the candidate".

Maybe the data is embarrassing, but that should be far secondary to finding out if the candidate is truly eligible to serve.

Please promise that if the Democrat candidate is elected, the eligibility challenge will get a fair hearing at the Electoral College step. I believe Sen. McCain can win, but if the opponent wins, this country is in real trouble of we have a leader who is ineligible.

Many Democrats still hold a grudge saying that President Bush is STILL ineligible based on the 2000 vote. The "native born" issue is far more problematic.

Good luck in the election - you have my support.

Again, please promise to challenge eligibility at the Electoral College step if we get that far.

This guy could not pass a simple security clearance much less pass a vetting process for the office of President. All of these "dismissed" lawsuits should be used at the Electoral College level (per the Constitution) to prevent him from taking office. At what point do “we the people” get to know where Obama was born? After he is elected President? Then what? Non stop litigation? He's impeached? He stays? I couldn't agree more. Well written, well thought out and well concluded. Now to wait and see what happens tomorrow on the steps of the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. as Philip J. Berg rallies to make his case before the court. Fox News will be there with cameras and supporters with their signs to proclaim. “Obama, show us your citizenship documents, now. If the only thing stopping the Berg case was lack of standing because he wasn’t a presidential candidate, well then get one of the many fringe “presidential candidates” no one has heard of to join in the suit. You shouldn’t even need a minor party (e.g. Constitution party) endorsed candidate because there were no parties when the constitution was drafted! There’s bound to be someone looking for their 15 min. of fame and crazy enough to take one Obama’s plumbers.

Any state official, Governor, Lt Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, Election Board Official. If you think you are absolved of responsibility and are holding the DNC responsible, you are wrong. Many of you have sworn an oath to uphold the Constitution. You may be subject to impeachment, expulsion and legal action. You have a duty to the US Constitution and the people of your state.

State election officials from the Secretaries of State and Election Boards have been quoted as saying they take their cue from the DNC for candidates placed on the ballot. That does not absolve them of responsibility. They are bound to uphold the Constitution. These officials have been forewarned. It is their duty to ensure that no voter in their state is disenfranchised.

He may simply be a b&stard (hey, some of us are) and worried about the embarrassment aspect. He also bears a much stronger semblance to Frank Marshall Davis than to his purported father. That said, he’s running for the most public office on earth. Demands for privacy at this level are unrealistic - ask Gov. Palin. And in this case, it’s a constitutional matter to boot.
