The theme is.. set up a heart string moment, personalize it, create a vague solution, say we a lot, and make a statement or two that makes you feel guilty for not agreeing.. Look up for the ‘six step reframe’ description- it is an NLP technique to plant subliminal suggestions.
Seriously, this feels exactly like one of Oprah’s prime time specials. I wonder if this is a Harpo production.
I don’t know why I expected him to use these 30 minutes to fully explain his tax plan, or even to address concerns about his radical friends. This feels more like a “greatest hits” version of his usual ads, with hard luck stories thrown in. Telling us that people are going through tough times is hardly a news flash. Tell us exactly how you would fix it.
