IMNSHO...
The time could be much better spent improving FR and adding modern features and controls like httdig search internally, being able to add and delete topics, setting certain users to ignore, hot buttons, real graphics, you know, all the goodies other boards have had for 5-10 years now.
I'm sure that out of 50,000 freepers, there are enough programmers and http experts, that an “extreme makeover FR edition” could be done in less than a freepathon quarter (and for free too!)

Yes, what you just said should also be done as well. Freepers are capable of engaging multiple targets, are they not?

This IS improving FR, by projecting our numbers/influence where all the non-FReepers are. Digg will never replace FR because it is populated by the entire political spectrum. The point is not to sit over there and argue with all the tards, it’s to use FReeperPower to Digg conservative articles to the top, and eventually, to do the same on other forums. Who wants to argue with a bunch of libs? Certainly not me! Certainly, not the vast majority of FReepers. That’s why we’re here!!!

Improving FR is not up to us, but the Robinsons. You do know that they own the software, right? They do take suggestions, but we can’t change anything ourselvess.

I agree with that. If John spent as much time reworking and creating a decent search capability as he did reworking the fonts last spring, we would be better off.
I would like to see a side bar just for Live events. Mods tend to delete them when they are posted in Breaking News. After a bit, they get moved off the main page and get lost as the day goes on. Thus, we end up with several "live" threads for the same event.
