It's fine and all to do this. I'll mention however that when Kevin Rose (Digg founder) selects news stories of the week for the Diggnation podcast, he makes it a point to never select political stories. Diggnation focuses on funny, odd, sexy, and tech type stories with emphasis on fun stuff (
Cupcakes in the shape of iPhone icons is an example). Kevin has also mentioned he avoids obits for just this reason.

Dude, what’s your problem. This effort is to get the work out about Obama. It has been specifically sanctioned by Jim Robinson. Do you even have any idea what we are talking about?
To: thefactor
you should put a pic of biden and write formerly bald next to it.We toyed with including Plugs but he just seemed so irrelevant. My next sign is for Prop. 8 which will over-turn the Calif. Court ruling allowing gay marriage. My sign is going to say, "Yes on Prop 8. NO POO-POO on the PEE-PEE! The Thugs are in full force out here so I am going to take a lot of grief.

If I may ask, there was a comment that ‘real names and info.’ had to be given out.
Is that the case?
I think that is what is making people skeptical.

You put the Digg link on FR, which will take FReepers to Digg, where they then Digg the article or video in question to the top of Digg.
To: Natchez Hawk
I don’t recall giving out my real name. I only recall supplying an email and creating a password.

I think he coached Notre Dames mens basketball team in the 70s and 80s.
Please I'm a Fordham Ram. Try not to remind me of that person who is forever nameless.

Very nice.
And how about buzz.yahoo.com?

Thank you! I just figured everybody knew about it. Boy was I wrong!!!

agreed. This is a great move.
We need to use the conservative web base and sync it up with the web 2.0 vines in order to get out our message.
this in an effort to take back the internet from the liberal cronies.....
this is not in any way to hurt FR, in fact, its a move to transform it to the ever changing internet landscape.
it’s either change or remained silo’ed........silo’ed won’t help in reaching main stream voters.
my 2 cents
To: GodGunsGuts
From the discriptions so far I won’t have anything to do with it.
Sounds as bad as wickapedia, facebook, or anything similar.

Hey, why not! Why not look into it and start a buzz.yahoo page of links too. The more forums we reach, the further our message gets projected into the mainstream. Excellent idea!

...if you please.
And/or, I intend to use some of this material for a more concise, bullet-pointed piece about to the effect of “Obama, Marxist? Why Barbara West was Right to Ask,”

Digg can be useful, but good luck getting anything anti-Obama or pro-conservative on the front page. They have the liberal bury brigade there that doesn't allow that stuff.

Again, how? You are the one who started this, so you need to be the one who explains it.
I don't see the point of putting a digg link on a NYTimes post on FR to link the thread on Digg.com.
I do see why the NYTimes would put a digg link on that article on 'their' website.
Thus, it would seem that the only digg-able articles/posts on FR would be the vanities, which, as I posted above, the mods either zot or dump to the blog section.
So, are the diggs applicable only to vanities? Otherwise, why 'digg' to a NYTimes article?
That would seem to make 'digg'ing only advantageous to digg.com, not to FR.

Take your transformation somewhere else and quit trying to change and destroy FR.

Can you find the Digg link? If not, post it on Digg, and then put the Digg link for the FR article so we can Digg it to the top over at Digg!!!
