Limbaugh is far too popular to be hushed.
If the fairness doctrine is enacted. It will be heavily challenged.
If it remains, it will be difficult to enforce.
If enforced, it will be abused.
If it somehow forces Limbaugh off the air, he will move to the internet. And if that is somehow silenced, Limbaugh can alway broadcast by shortwave radio from the Bahamas.
And with each attempt to silence conservatism, the left will only strengthen our resolve. Obama is not big enough.
Years ago I was a nightime radio nut. I think they call it DXing today. I listened to programs from my home in Queens from as far away as WCCO in Minn, KMOX in StL. One program blasted the others off the air. It was a religious program broadcast from Bonaire in the Neth Antilles on a 500,000 watt transmitter at 800 on the dial. I don’t know what the int’l agreements are now but folks like Rush and Sean and Hugh could put together something like the religious broadcasters did 40 years ago.
“...And with each attempt to silence conservatism, the left will only strengthen our resolve. Obama is not big enough...”
Agreed. It’s not going to be that easy for them to do what they want to do. How many conservatives are just going to roll over and give up without a fight? I won’t. How many people are going to allow the leftists to just jam this crap down our throats? Not many I suspect. If we do then we get what we deserve. Maybe this is a long overdue wake up call. Maybe we needed something like this to happen in order to finally get us off our collective duffs and encourage us to fight back. If we want to save this thing for our children and grandchildren then we better be willing to engage in the fight of our lives. We have power in numbers.
