If Obama wins, Romney could be 'repackaged' for 2012 GOP challenge

WASHINGTON—A week from today, Americans will pick a new president, but a surprising beneficiary may be off the ballot: Mitt Romney.

With polls in key states forecasting a comfortable victory by Sen. Barack Obama and fellow Democrats, Republicans may find themselves booted out of the White House, shoved further into the minority in Congress and marginalized in the powerhouse of Washington.

If Sen. John McCain loses next Tuesday, Romney could be well positioned to rise as a leader of the Republican Party to guide conservatives through a few years in the political wilderness and a favorite for the GOP presidential nomination come 2012.

Willard would still be a RINO. No matter how much packing tape you use.

No thanks.

Find more Palin's to put on a ticket and then we'll get energized.

So This Is "Growing" In Washington: The Kevin Madden Saga

Yesterday, I blogged about Romneybots trying to smear Sarah Palin. One of the ones who has been willing to do it on record is former John Boehner spokesman and, more recently, former Mitt Romney spokesman Kevin Madden.

Now Madden was a Hill guy. And he was good. Smooth, polished, a party man.

Then he went to Mitt Romney and was mostly smooth and polished, but not quite as good.

Well, where to go now? Oh . . . the private sector.

Where did Kevin Madden go in the private sector?
The Glover Park Group.

The Glover Park Group is a Democrat group. Who is there?

Carter Eskew from Gore 2000; Michael Feldman from the Clinton White House; Gigi Gorges who worked with Hillary; Joel Johnson from Team Daschle; Joe Lockhart from the Clinton White House; Jonathan Sallet from the Clinton White House; Chip Smith from Gore 2000; and Howard Wolfson most recently of the Hillary Campaign.

They are good at what they do. Now they can play both sides having Kevin on board. But how much of the Palin bashing is Kevin trying to fit in and suck up to his new masters? Maybe he's just killing two birds with one stone: sabotage Palin to help him get back on the Romney train in 2012 if he thinks Obama is going to win and make himself palatable in an all blue Washington. Still, so much for loyalties, etc.

This doesn't explain the other Romneybots doing the same.

One response and one only. That was written when? Decades ago. Gosh, did you know we use to throw virgins into volcanos? Human sacrafice? Shall I spend the day telling you about the crusades? About Christian sins? What has been done in the past in His name? Things change, my friend. The Mormons have done nothing to deserve scorn from you. And Jesus wouldn’t condone it. He’d be furious. No one judges but God. Period.

Things change, my friend.

So true!

The "most perfect book" has had THOUSANDS of 'changes to it.

The THEOLOGY of Mormonism has shifted to match Societal changes; not GODLY pronouncements.

The problem with Obama is that his policy proposals are dead on arrival.

Too bad that most (but not all) of McCain's are, too.
