Monday Night Fights: FNC's Megyn Kelly vs. Obama's Bill Burton (Don't Miss This One!)

In response to the Sunday evening revelations concerning the socialist, wealth redistribution views expressed by Barack Obama in 2001, the Obama campaign issued a statement blaming "the all too common alliance of Fox News, the Drudge Report and John McCain."

This didn't sit very well with Fox News's Megyn Kelly who on Monday invited Obama's national press secretary Bill Burton on "America's Election Headquarters" to defend these allegations (h/t Johnny Dollar).

What followed was quite a barnburner (video embedded below the fold):

Megyn is grrrrreat! Her show is one of only three I’ll watch during my modified boycott of Foxnews. She beats on Burton every time he is on and makes him look like what he is, a fool!

She was good, but she let him change the subject away from the 2001 Obama interview.
She should have nailed him on specific lines taken from that interview about the Constitution, and the courts, etc.

The expression on his face at the end was priceless.

The expression of a man that just got his ass wup'ed and made to look like a fool!

" ... modified boycott of Foxnews ..."

That seems to be spreading around everywhere.

I'm beginning to think those that have tossed their TV's out are not only brave, they are very smart.

I read the comments on the various threads about this before I watched and was a bit disappointed when I finally saw it. As good as she is and as much as I look forward to seeing her every M-F morning, I have to say it was more of a draw than the slap down Burton deserves.

That seems to be spreading around everywhere.

Brit Hume and his "All Star" panel fawning over Barama after the third debate caused me to leave. Hume's show was one I would never miss or at least record for future viewing, but since that night, the show has not crossed my TV and won't! The show, which I always considered very fair, went off the deep end that night. Most on our site and many pundits saw the same thing and are doing the same.

As I've splained on other posts, I will continue to watch Fox & Friends, Megyn Kelly & Bill Hemmer and Cavuto. Cavuto is one of the only voices of reason and common sense, anywhere, on the financial side of reporting.

That Burton boy was trying to work way above his abilities. Pretty pitiful on his part.

She should have shut off his mike. I hate when they talk over one another. But I’m glad she didn’t back down.
