When BHO was in Joe the Plumber’s driveway he said he wanted to spread the wealth. I also seem to remember that he then said, “...you know, bring up those behind you.”
Did anyone else hear him say this or is my memory just plain shot?
He said something along the lines, It’s not that I want to punish you for being successful, ....I want to help those behind you.
You’re right. He said : “It’s not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they’ve got a chance at success too. I think that when you spread the wealth around it’s good for everybody.”

He said he wanted to give those "behind him" an "equal" chance for success.
Of course, that completely ignores the fact that everybody already gets a free public education, and the vast majority of those in poverty are the same people who dropped out of school.
