Several gun stores in the valley have seen an increase in firearm and ammunition sales lately. News 3's Dan Ball explains why the election and the economic crisis have people pulling the trigger.
Jeffrey Bergman and his sister came to the Gun Store on Tropicana to practice their aim.
"We've had things like break-ins in the neighborhood," says Jeffrey. "We're concerned about the increase in crime in the area and protecting ourselves."
Gun Store employees like Randy Formanek say they are seeing more and more folks like Jeff come into the store.
"They see a necessity to arm themselves so that they can defend themselves," explains Randy. "You're going to see more and more people without jobs, more and more economic desperation. When people get desperate, they do stupid things, and you need to prepare yourself for the eventuality of that."
Besides self-protection, gun experts and gun users at the Gun Store say they are also concerned about what the next President may do about gun control.

Forgive my ignorance, what brand and model is this?

It’s a version of the Remington 870
We’ve noted a dramatic increase in panic buying. Funny thing is, almost all the customers who are doing it are telling exactly why they are doing it.

Well...at least we all have an excuse to give our wives now.
LOL.
Cool, and thanks for your input!
LOL... the trick is to have so many, the wife won’t recognize a new one...
Just kidding!!!!
Maybe...
Mike
(no you didn’t)...
So do I.
Beautiful, Sir, just beautiful. Thank you for providing the pic.
That is indeed the weapon I described. I don’t know how to post pics here as I am a bit new to the forum. I cannot recommend this weapon highly enough! The stock makes it such that a anyone can fire this weapon pain free, and the barrel length and pistol grip make it ideal from the home.
There used to be a Freeper HTML link somewhere. I'll look. Posting a pic is easier than you think.
Welcome to FR by the way. We can always use some more misguided gun nuts around here.
It goes bad pretty fast. Ship it all to me, and I can get you a small salvage refund. :)
Seriously, it should keep a century and more if you keep it dry.
Thanks for you feedback!
Excellent! Thanks so much for the welcome and the link to instructions. I have saved the page, and I will study it.
I try not to "cling" to my religion, but make it something automatic, like the air I breathe.
As far as guns go, I never "cling" to them, because that just sets up muscle tremors that can spoil the shot. You have to treat your precision instruments with respect.
I don't "cling" to this scalpel. I nestle it comfortably on suede sandbags made from the finest Corinthian leather. Done properly, one shot is more effective than emptying the entire magazine of an AK47. Even in a world in turmoil, always spend some time on the finer things. Good taste never goes out of style.
We’re planning on having at least 10k .45 ACP reloads by the 4th. If The Marxist loses, his “diverse” supporters are a little too close to home for comfort (or even if he wins).
It worked in NOLA, post-Katrina.
Sorry to hear you wear two hearing aids. I’m only 23 and have some hearing loss in the right ear, enough so that I probably can’t join the military without a waiver from somebody with some sway. Last I went and had it checked, I think I have a 35% loss in the right ear, and slightly in the left. Along with that I have some tinnitus. I know when a tube TV is turned on before people hear the sound out of the speakers.
It stinks
Good deals. I got a good deal also on a Beretta 92FS. $489.00 new in the box. I tested it out over the weekend. Sweet!
