Landslide Victory for McCain!
Pajamas Media ^ | October 26 | Greyhawk

Surprise — at least one poll shows a huge McCain lead: “[Senator John] McCain, R-Ariz., handily defeated Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., 68 percent to 23 percent in a voluntary survey of 4,293 active-duty, National Guard, and reserve subscribers and former subscribers to Army Times, Navy Times, Marine Corps Times, and Air Force Times.” Or perhaps not so surprising: there’s a history involved here.

In 1864 the nation was nearing the end of the Civil War — but some wanted it ended sooner than others. Democrats offered a platform declaring that it was “the sense of the American people, that after four years of failure to restore the Union by the experiment of war, during which . . . the Constitution itself has been disregarded in every part, . . . justice, humanity, liberty, and the public welfare demand that immediate efforts be made for a cessation of hostilities.” In short: end the war now...

So the military expresses its confidence in the GOP? We'll see if the country shares it as well.

Okay!

These are the people that count!

With the 'proper' general at the head of our forces we can take the Obomba forces as they try to drown themselves in the Potomac

No surprise there.

It's the MILITARY!

My question is, will they have an opportunity to VOTE?

Or like usual be denied absentee ballots or have them arrive late or misplace them or have them ineligible based on a trumped up technicality? Take your pick.

The Left hates the military.

To be fair, the Democratic candidate in 1864, McClellan, rejected the Democratic surrender platform.

Oh, they'll be able to vote. And any discrepencies will be fixed. But when election day actually comes, their votes will have been, "Lost," or, "Been misplaced/disqualified for clerical errors," at a time when it'll be too late to do anything about it.

Dims cancelling their vote will only further insure the military will stand with the Constitution when nobama’s bunch starts taking down our Rights and Freedoms.
Maybe a good time to “clear the deck” and put common sense back in play.
“That” 17% deadkey, aren’t the sharpest knives in the drawer.

They are tossing military votes in Fairfax (NVA) county VA over a technicality.

You Said: "The left hates the military."

Response: True.

Question: Does the left fear military intervention after the left takes over this January? If they do what steps will be taken by the left to insure that intervention does not occur?

I saw that. Can anything be done? Can we urge intervention by the Bush administration i.e. civil rights and all that nonsense. Atleast some good can come from that twaddle.

Too bad the dems are finding ways to defeat the military vote.

Absolutely agreed -- but as we sit here, active duty ballots from deployed troops are being disputed in Virginia over some silly technical differences between the Virginia absentee ballots s and the DOD ballots.

Yes, and at least from my little corner of the globe, the military people (and their civilian counterparts) are voting up a STORM this year. They're very serious about it, reading the instructions carefully, dotting very 'i' and crossing every 't' so "we won't get screwed like we did in 2000."

I did not see anywhere near this level of enthusiasm for getting those ballots in in 2004.

This isn't a poll - it is a “voluntary survey” - and as a statistical tool, meaningless.
