An Arkansas television anchorwoman died Saturday, several days after she didn't answer her wake-up call and was found beaten in her home, hospital officials said.
Anne Pressly, 26, died at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center, hospital spokeswoman Margaret Preston said.

For all of us who did not know her, I would ask that we be circumspect, when speculating about her murder.
It was either a vicious random crime, or a targeted murder.
It may or may not be related to her work as a reporter. Either way, I hope the killer is caught soon. Chances are her family and friends will be combing the net for information. Let them not find DU type crap at this website.

Thank God her boyfriend was armed with a (legal) hand gun and was able to kill the attacker. Some of you from TN may also remember Leanne from when she used to be a reporter (TV) in Chattanooga. She is now a field reporter for NBC. Her family lived directly across from us growing up in a small West Virginia town and her brother Mike was my best friend as a kid. Leanne was lucky someone was there to help. I hope they catch whoever the slug is who did this to such a beautiful young lady.
There are just some things on Free Republic that can't be easily explained.

So after that attack, she was left all alone??? no friends or family/a nurse around her, just a wakeup call?? thats crazy in itself, the whole thing is sad but i dont get how she’d be totally unattended after a crime like that, hope they catch the perp soon.
??????....She wasn’t “left unattended” after the crime. She was essentially beaten to death and it took a few days for the crime to be discovered because she lived alone.
No. Her mom called her every morning.
Emergency services were there within the hour.
THAT was several days ago.
Typical bad/ambiguous news reporting.
