When I tried to close the MySpace page, it highjacked my computer. Started downloading files (or something) at breakneck speed.

Has something similar happen while doing some research a couple of weeks ago. Could just be my computer.

I can't help you from your description but if what you noticed was high activity on the hard drive it was more likely downloading your files than uploading ... :-(

Prolly want to run ad-aware and spybot search & Destroy ...
