And they were indignantly vociferous about it, too. Many of us who expressed skepticism were skewered by them.

I jumped hard for the initial story, so I must eat crow. I have been mister skeptic since I saw the pic on Drudge, tho...

My first thought was I hoped that Drudge was not wrong, meaning that his headline of this incident was accurate and it took place as reported. I felt sorry for the victim, but I did not want this to be a false report.

I was willing to give the "victim" the benefit of the doubt initial, but it was pretty obvious once the details were released that much of her account of the attack were fairly easily refuted.
