PITTSBURGH -- A 20-year-old woman who was robbed at an ATM in Bloomfield was also maimed by her attacker, police said.
Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Diane Richard tells Channel 4 Action News that the victim was robbed at knifepoint on Wednesday night outside of a Citizens Bank near Liberty Avenue and Pearl Street just before 9 p.m.
Richard said the robber took $60 from the woman, then became angry when he saw a McCain bumper sticker on the victim's car. The attacker then punched and kicked the victim, before using the knife to scratch the letter "B" into her face, Richard said.
Richard said the woman refused medical treatment after the assault, which happened outside the view of the bank's surveillance cameras.
The robber is described as a dark-skinned black man, 6 feet 4 inches tall, 200 pounds with a medium build, short black hair and brown eyes. The man was wearing dark colored jeans, a black undershirt and black shoes.
Wow! It took over 600 posts before someone mentioned that the B was backwards. (Glad you finally mentioned it.) When I saw it on Fox, my first thought was that it was scratched in with a pin or nail with that same person using a mirror. if it was scratched in by a perp, it’s logical if he did it with his knees above her head while she’s prone but (I say this as a former wrestler) it would be impossible to hold her still in that position without some consent. Guess I have to stipulate a gun? Of course, me being the half-witted detective that I am...I can’t explain a self inflicted black eye...

Why is the B backwards?
Looks like something someone would do in a mirror...
By the victim's own account, the perp wasn't kneeling at her head, facing her feet, which is the position given again and again on the multiple threads on this incident to explain why the B is backward.
Still may not be a hoax...The attacker could be subliterate...Or so incredibly cunning as to deliberately make the B backward so it looks like a hoax...And maybe the wound is less superficial in reality than it looks in the photos posted (even a dull knife should have pierced the skin deeper than it looks)...BUT....It's not looking good.

Concerning the poor, deluded woman with the shiner, that undoubtedly took place first. The alleged carving took place later. She's admitted various things, but I think we need to hear about it in court first before drawing conclusions.
I'm always suspicious of the motives of those who indicate in any way that we should just gloss over the wounds of a beaten woman, particularly one who later on does bizarre or mystifying things (like carving their faces). Just that way ~ you should be too. At the moment your motives are suspect and that leads me to disbelieve anything else you might say.
Now, "smirking chimp", I'm basing things on a quick analysis (taken from my archives of "typical word flows" I've built of various posters). That's so I can tell the difference between the holder of a webname and someone just borrowing it. Different name ~ same pattern. You might check that sight ~ pull up a topic you're interested in and find the guy who tracks you.
