PITTSBURGH -- A 20-year-old woman who was robbed at an ATM in Bloomfield was also maimed by her attacker, police said.
Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Diane Richard tells Channel 4 Action News that the victim was robbed at knifepoint on Wednesday night outside of a Citizens Bank near Liberty Avenue and Pearl Street just before 9 p.m.
Richard said the robber took $60 from the woman, then became angry when he saw a McCain bumper sticker on the victim's car. The attacker then punched and kicked the victim, before using the knife to scratch the letter "B" into her face, Richard said.
Richard said the woman refused medical treatment after the assault, which happened outside the view of the bank's surveillance cameras.
The robber is described as a dark-skinned black man, 6 feet 4 inches tall, 200 pounds with a medium build, short black hair and brown eyes. The man was wearing dark colored jeans, a black undershirt and black shoes.
You are going to give the money and just stand there. No, you are going to get the heck out of dodge. You are at least going to get inside your car, lock the door, and call soneone. It isn’t the best neighborhood.
FOX NEWS Shep Smith just reported this!! Perhaps this will be reported. He said that they are trying to reach the Pittsburgh police for confirmation.

Actually, I prefer to wait for the medical report, then go from there. Who knows how she got a black eye? Maybe she took a dodgeball in the nose a few days ago. But we’ve already had someone who claims to be a medical doctor in this thread say essentially the same thing that I have (see post #360). To equate what’s evident in that photo with a blunt imact injury to an eye that is less than 24 hours old is a leap of faith. We have a “knife-carved” B that doesn’t even break the skin. What was he using? Plastic ware? This is supposedly a mugging/physical assault that took place on a busy thoroughfare with nothing on camera, and no witnesses. All very interesting...but not necessarily convincing. Yet.
Someone posted her twitter page earlier. She was not familiar with the area as she is from Texas and volunteering in this area. Her twitter said she was looking for a BOA to withdraw money to avoid ATM charges and indicated she was “on the wrong side of Pittsburgh” while looking for a BOA, in other words, possibly lost. She may not have known where the nearest ER was. Could all be a way to cover...maybe not. We’ll find out.

Try this, take your index finger and draw a B on your cheek. Now draw a backwards B. Does your brain tell you you're screwing up when you draw the B backwards?
This is a very scary time. Civil Rights should be applied to everyone and common courtesy given.
My problem isn’t the orientation of the B. It’s the severity of lack thereof of the injury. As stated earlier, I’ve seen knife wounds, both cuts and stab wounds, and this doesn’t qualify for either. Couple that with the size and strength of her alleged attacker, the neatness of the wound etc, and it screams hoax.

You saying this was a dead-on, self-portrait in a mirrow, point-blank range, no flash flare, and no reflection of the camera? We wouldn’t be seeing her face if that were the case...just the camera.

If she was going to do this to herself, why not just an O. It would be a heckuva lot easier to do. Also, this girl is really into politics. I just can’t see her doing B instead of O. Now, I’m not convinced that she was attacked worse because the guy saw a McCain sticker, but I do think she was injured by someone.

I have to agree, at first, I thought this really happened the way the young girl stated. After I posted a ‘reverse’ picture making the ‘B’ appear right, Plummz post 326 pointed out correctly in another picture of her that she had a mole which would be switched to wrong side of her face in my ‘reverse’ photo.
That would only leave the possibility that the attacker scratched the ‘B’ from above and even that sounds a little screwy at this point.
We need to stop and wait for the evidence, my guess she is just an overzealous girl with a bad idea gotten worse.
I’m saying that is what Fox just reported.
Killing certainly neutralizes. A wounded man can still hurt you.
As for litigation or prosecution for defending myself, my folks, or my property?
Well, I’d rather be judged by twelve than carried by six.
