She needed to be a resident for 5 yrs. after her 14th birthday. IF he was born in Kenya, she could not have fulfilled that requirement and citizenship could not have passed.

I can't remember the title of the laws in place at the time, but if you go over the passed threads on this, you will find them.

I had pulled into the driveway and just before I got out with my take out coffee, I heard Rush touch on the birth certificate of Senator Obama. I sat right there and listened. Of course, I am polite enough not to charge in about who should vote for who. Just that family history is a most fascinating subject.

I have researched Howard Hughes Jr and tried for Billy the Kid, no luck there, but I did trace his friends, the Maxwell family. Just in case there is a misconception about birth certificates, it was pointed out on a previous thread that of a "vault copy". This pertains to the English term Archival copy. Just the same over there, one can avoid the details on one's birth certificate and get a small square document with just the name and date and place of birth. This entirely on the integrity of the archivist.

There is also a "certificate of birth," I ask for tolerance if I am stating the obvious. The vault copy is the one that could be entirely at risk. The only counter to that is the other copy of the vault copy. Who has that copy- if it still exists?

As has been stated by the pyjamahadine, the certificate of birth for Senator Obama is just an archivists derivation of information.

Trouble is that's not the entire story. Rumors are that his grandmother on his father's side in Africa swears she was at his birth in Kenya.

speaking of disgusted...so far today, I leave the house this am and see an Obama —hand painted artsy fartsy sign in my neighbors window, then I get to work and a lady in the next office tells me her friend renamed the black kitten outside “Barak 0bama” then just now coming back from an errand, I stop at a signal and get stuck behind a Prius with a “baby on board” sign!!! I wanted to poke my eyes out.

Isn't it fun to be in a non-stop battleground state? As you guys can see, I am NOT at the Palin rally. Wasn't able to get up to the GOP campaign center to get tickets yesterday. Hopefully, she will make one more round around Ohio! Going to get a sammich. Be back.
