Some of the posts on here are so so so amusing! Let's see, the implication that any woman who doesn't support Sarah is a lesbian? That any one who supports Obama is "unwashed"? The more comments I read, the more taken aback. What happened to actual conservatism? Did you all catch the McCain bug where if you disagree with someone you vilify them? Anyone care to come out of the woodwork and speak realistically?

The History Channel seems to have taken a left turn, somewhere. I don’t watch it too often, any more. I’m getting pretty OD’d on the sappy stuff that is presented as “prime time” viewing.

When I’d tune is is probably too late to be called prime time. All I remember lately is something about running trucks over ice. Yawn.

I guess if one likes edge-of-the-seat cusswords, Ice Road Truckers was good. Same with the crab fishers in Alaska. I just can’t generate any warmth for programs that leave me feeling as if I’m stuck in my driveway in the middle of winter.

Afternoon! It’s World Running Day, so I’m going to do some World Running after I put Vlad to bed. Hopefully I won’t damage anything permanently :-). The catz are trying to talk me into a nap.

My catz will take naps tomorrow, too.
Did my World Running, now I can have ice cream. A squadron of Zeros went overhead while I was out (so DP said - I didn’t have glasses on), leaving the air show in Monroe.

There was supposed to be an air show this weekend, but I haven’t heard any planes. The wind and rain may have kept people home.
I’m going to fix my self some chicken soup. My self only likes that when the rest of me is feeling not so great.

DP and the kids went to Monroe yesterday, said it was pretty nice. Vlad fell asleep during the bombing demonstrations, though.
Hope the soup helps. We’re having chicken-something, too.

I like air shows. One thing with living close to the base is that we are often treated to free shows. Just by virtue of being in the same flight training area, we get get to see the Thunderbirds practice. :o])

My best Blue Angels viewing was the Friday practice before a show at NAS Moffett Field. I took the afternoon off from the NASA facility on the base and got a seat right next to the runway, at the middle. Only a few of us there — but what a show!

We used to go to Moffat every week to the commissary! We ventured into the hangar one day....down at the far end was a hot air balloon practicing raising and lowering.
It looked REALLY far a away and very small!!
