I’ll vote as soon as the school is open, and then find something on a minor channel on TV to keep from being OD’d by “election coverage.”
DangIhatethat!
I’ll find out on the 5th whether to laugh or cry.

Even worse is that I have to head back to work tonight, and needed to sleep.
Rotten critters don’t see it that way though.

But not with this cough, I won’t! I couldn’t even “safely” eat croissants on the last trip — any flakes would trigger a coughing spell.

Have you tried a hot toddy?
Or are you on medication that prohibits such a treat?

"I was watching Venus set last night, although I cant tell if its crescent or not..my telescopes not good enough. I can see a bright dot with, sometimes, a few brighter spots around it (moons?), but I cant see phases or anything." You're in for a treat, if you're willing to be patient. (From Wiki.)
"Transits of Venus are among the rarest of predictable astronomical phenomena and currently occur in a pattern that repeats every 243 years, with pairs of transits eight years apart separated by long gaps of 121.5 years and 105.5 years. Before 2004, the last pair of transits were in December 1874 and December 1882. The first of a pair of transits of Venus in the beginning of the 21st century took place on 8 June 2004 (see Transit of Venus, 2004) and the next will be on 6 June 2012 (see Transit of Venus, 2012). After 2012, the next transits of Venus will be in December 2117 and December 2125." -- (Bolding mine)
By the way, Venus has no moons. If you're seeing something near it, it is either background stars or an artifact inside the telescope.
If you have followed my posts upthread, (and why would you?), you'll note that I am planning to put an asteroid something less than two miles in diameter in orbit around Venus. That would assuredly be after the next transit of Venus, as seen from Earth.

"Id rather see Froggie the Gremlin." I remember the sound effect, but I never really saw him "plunk his magic twanger".
I don't know about you, but I think it scarred my for life. At least, that's going to be my defense in court.

Scarred your what?
I never saw his twanger, either, but I’m sure he must have had one.
