By the way, Venus has no moons. If you're seeing something near it, it is either background stars or an artifact inside the telescope.

If you have followed my posts upthread, (and why would you?), you'll note that I am planning to put an asteroid something less than two miles in diameter in orbit around Venus. That would assuredly be after the next transit of Venus, as seen from Earth.
