Praying for your neighbor!
A friend of mine is facing the same with their dog, Coda, a 10 yr old husky. It’s never an easy decision to make.
Aww...prayers sent for your friend. I know how painful it is to have to say goodbye to a dear and trusted furry friend.
~Prayers~
What really helped was to hand my 16½ y-o dachshund to the Vet’s assistant with a large paper bagwith instructions to put the bag in the pickup bed while I waited outside. (I’d previously dug his gravein different statessix months apart!)
I had held him for the full day prior, but still had to let go. :(
Losing a pet is so emotionally trying, especially when they’ve given love uncondiionally for 15 years. My heart and prayers are with your friend.
Our dog died. A few months later my wife got online and found a breeder (Lhaso Apso)in Denver. We bought a puppy. We drove up from Texas to get him and when we walked in it was obvious he knew us. We took him home and at ten weeks he was house trained. The two cats acted like they knew him. This dog is a carbon copy of the other one. Has the same mannerisms. I mentioned this to my vet and she said she thinks these animals come back. She says she’s seen it time and time again but she doesn’t bring it up unless a client brings it up first.
Tell you neighbor she can have that dog again if she gives it a little time then finds another of the same breed. Call me crazy but I’ll always believe mine was reincarnated.
Prayers for your friend as she parts with her beloved dog. How kind of you to ask for prayer for your friend !
May God heal her brokenheart and bring her just the right puppy when she is ready for a new friend.
I believe that some dogs are angels sent to us from Heaven. Sometimes the relationship between human and dog is so close that it enriches and prolongs the life of both. It is truly sad and one of the most painful experiences that I have ever known when it comes time to send them home. We do this because we do not want our beloved friends to suffer any pain.
I wish I could tell your neighbor that this is the day that her beloved friend returns home to play in the yard of The Lord. While she will be very sad for sometime, what she must know is that this is her opportunity to give a home to another wonderful angel who desperately needs one. The only way I have found to deal with the sadness of losing a dog is to revel in the happiness of adopting another.
I will pray for your neighbor and her beloved friend. May God Bless them both.
It’s hard losing pets. I lost a 5-year old and two 2-year olds to feline leukemia this year. Prayers for your neighbor.
My prayers.. It’s hard to love enough to let go.
