WASHINGTON – Colin Powell will have a role as a top presidential adviser in an Obama administration, the Democratic White House hopeful said Monday.

"He will have a role as one of my advisers," Barack Obama said on NBC's "Today" in an interview aired Monday, a day after Powell, a four-star general and President Bush's former secretary of state, endorsed him.

Colin Powell is a political whore.

In the Bob Woodward book "The Commanders" about the events leading up to the start of the fighting in the Gulf War, there is an episode where General Norman Schwarzkopf is pleading with Powell to go to bat for him about a particular military point the politicians in the elder Bush White House had made a decision on.

Powell's reply was that the President wants so and so and that he was not going to cross him.

Powell has no moral courage. He will simply be the lap dog of whatever politician he believes can advance Powell's own personal interests.

Exactly, All one has to do is take all the evil things said about Powell at Salon.com and other liberal “think tanks” and the dumbed-down Dem base may turn against Obama. This endorsement made no sense for either Obama or Powell. Now, the leftists who pump up the base are going to have to defend Obama’s friendship with Powell...Personally, i’m glad Powell is totally out of the closet.

Does anyone really believe that Powell would have endorsed Obama if his name was Barry O’Sullivan? The American people will see this for what it is.

Powell owes everything he has rank and position wise, to WHITES.

Powell was the “Obama general” (got where he is because of white guilt). As Chairman of the Joints Cheif of Staffs, he was opposed to everything that went right in the first Gulf War. As we all know, that war was a great success.

I guess the media wanted a black hero after Gulf War 1 so they made him one. If he had been white, you’d never heard of him after Gulf War 1.

Powell was more than willing to take credit for all the success of the first Gulf War even though he was opposed to almost everything that went well.

The guy has just been in the way more than anything else. I know I wouldn’t want his advice on any damn thing.

Again, he was a colossal failure as Sect. of State too.

http://thinkprogress.org/2006/12/17/powell-surge/

Powell was against the surge....check this out....McCain could tell the American people that although he respects General Powell, he did oppose the surge! “General Powell, the surge is working!”

I lost all respect for Powell when he would not allow the fact to be revealed that his under Secretary, Richard Armitage, was the source of the Plame leak to Novak, thus allowing the insinuation to continue that it came from the Bush White House as a vendetta. He’s a weasel and a punk.

Hagel has been silent and MIA since the infamous trip to Iraq-I’m starting to wonder if Hagel has changed his tune and thereby fallen out of favor with osamaobama and the msm.

If Powell had been a “white” Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, you’d never heard of him again after Gulf War 1.

The media created some lovefest with someone they could make into a black hero.

Powell was against everything that turned out successful in Gulf War 1. This is the thing that made him famous. The media love for the black guy is a freakin joke.

He was a loser as CJCS and as Sect. of State. He led us into a war that he’s against.

I’ve known he was a loser for a long time but just had to hold back.

What administration?

LOL!

It sure as hell wasn't ever going to be a Republican administration, not after Scooter Libby was betrayed by Powell. Working for Obama is the only govt. gig Powell can get.
