ABC News' Matthew Jaffe Reports: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., on Sunday guaranteed that if elected, Sen. Barack Obama., D-Ill., will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he will need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions.
"Mark my words," the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy."

But it is a standard leftie tactic. How many times has a leftie spray-painted her car to generate sympathy? Or left a noose somewhere to provoke rage against conservatives?
Think who these people are - Ayers wishing he'd planted more bombs? The liberal agenda which involves suppression of free speech and political opposition? An agenda which would be roundly rejected by the majority of Americans - how do you think they would LIKE to get that through?

This is a curious statement. All the Democrats are gravely concerned about are domestic "enemies" in which case this phrase makes sense. Perhaps the poster who suspected that moving against Israel is being contemplated is correct.

My take on this: Both campaigns have been briefed on national security matters. Biden knows that we well get into a conflict with Iran, sooner rather than later. He is preparing his audience for the probability that we will have to take out Iran’s nuclear weapons program. So Biden is hinting at JFK and the Cuban Missile Crisis vs. Obama and Iran. Obama and Biden are wrong about many things but even they must realize that we cannot afford to let Iran start a nuclear war. They have no doubt been briefed about some scary, top secret info about Iran. Biden and Obama are at least intelligent enough to know that something will have to be done, so Biden is appealing to the moonbats to trust them.
